Jessie snorted, laughing at him. She wasn't unable to hide her amusement.

"You know some girls like the rugged look you got going for ya, Roachy."

Was she flattering him too much? It was part of her job, after all, to make someone feel like they were the best looking person in the place. Perhaps it was just second nature to compliment a man when she spent time with one.

Jessie was clearly not in a clear state of mind. Her personal matters hardly ever came up when she was out. She liked to leave those behind to wallow in when she got home, maybe with some ice cream and a movie.

She sat there, staring ahead for a moment before waving him off.

"S'it's nothing. Forget I said anything about it. I'm just drunk," she said with a laugh.

"Where we gonna go, Roach?"

Jessie's eyes followed his silver clip and the amount of money he placed on the table. She couldn't help the giddy feeling in her chest, watching him cover the bill that she certainly added to with her fancy shot, followed by however many shots she took with him after.

She couldn't really remember how many she had at this point. It probably wasn't even that many.

"Awe, Roach. Covering for little ole me? You're the best."

Of course, that was what she had been expecting. Whether or not she'd admit it out loud? Well, that was another thing.

Lamb was an accurate nickname for her, since the moment she stood up from the seat, Jessie's legs began to wobble like she had never taken a step in her life. Heels were probably a terrible idea, but she dressed for fashion, not function.

"Arm, arm, arm!"

She grabbed onto him to keep from falling, practically falling into his chest in a fit of giggles as they left the bar.

"My hero."

Hungry? Was she?

Jessica took her time thinking over her answer, partially entranced by the outdoors and the smoke circles behind them. Then her mind caught up to her. She turned her head to look back at Roach, smiling.

"Yeah, I'm hungry for a few things right now," she said, throwing a wink at him.

She couldn't help but laugh at her own comment as she took a few steps ahead.

"I want something greasy."

Honestly enough, Roach's attention on her was almost as hunger-satisfying as food would be. That's what Jessie would claim.

However, her stomach would growl in protest when he mentioned a diner.

"Ooh, yeah! A burger sounds so good."

She practically drooled at the thought, allowing her companion to lead her away from the area while smoking his cigar. Jessie tilted her head upward, her eyes hazy but curious.

"That taste good?"

The cigar was extended toward her, a silent offer for her to try it. Jessie looked at it, her eyes glancing over the length of it and the width. Definitely not like a cigarette.

But then again, she had never smoked one of those before either.

"No."

She took it with her fingers holding it daintily, her pinky raised. Her eyes examined it as she lifted it to her lips.

"I just breathe it in right?"

Being inebriated was probably not the best thing for Jessie's first time trying a cigar. She would listen to him, but her performance was definitely laughable at best.

After she sucked on it, she found herself coughing a couple of times, nearly dropping the cigar on the ground. But it definitely tasted better than she had expected.

"Let me try again..."

This time, she learned from her mistake. Better.

"It's interesting."

Jessie turned and blew a puff of smoke at him, a wicked smile on her face.

"Looks good on me? Does it make me look bad?"

Jessie was fueled by his compliments, her smirk growing wider as she placed the cigar back in her mouth for one last puff.

Once she was done, she handed it over to him, allowing him to do as he pleased with it so they could enter the diner. The smell of food wafted to her nose, causing her stomach to growl.

Sitting at an empty booth, Jessie began to scan the menu for what she desired to fill her belly.

"It smells so good in here..."
