An immediate gasp arises from Gabby when her father gives chase. A Smile forming not to long after, "Just try and catch me dad!" She taunts lightly with jolly laughter. "Run for it Berry!" The spheal barks out affirmatively and makes a speedy dash underwater, leaving both of them in her bubbles.

Ultimately Gabby tires which lets her father catch up. Though she does get surprised at how quick her father could move through the waters, resulting in her briefly submerging.

She quickly resurfaces, gasping for air soon as she does. "Haha!" She laughs, using her hand to move aside wet hair that got into her eyes.

"You know dad, you swim a lot faster than I thought!"

"What! I had no idea!" Gabby pretends like she didn't know as a joke. But even for her it was difficult to imagine what her father was like in his youth, was he always so serious and hard to understand? or did something cause the change. She chuckles lightly unsure how else to react.

Berry swims back to Gabby after a taking a brief dive in the salty waters, and Gabby uses Berry to support herself much like a floatie. As she had grown a bit tired.

She wasn't expecting him to ask about her siblings.

"Oh yeah, I have. Mostly Uriah and Jessie. Finn and Sirius don't really like going out." She also looks back to the shoreline to see that the beach had a little less people.

"What makes you ask?"

The response left her disappointed but her true feelings aren't displayed. Instead Gabby nods with a small smile.
"Oh their good, just busy I think." She chuckles, finding it a bit strange how he was asking her instead of talking to them himself. It was something she didn't really understand about her father.

She wished that he could be more honest, deep down she knows that he cares. All he needs to do is show it a bit more.

Gabrielle becomes curious and asks her father the same thing.

"How about you dad? How's the election going so far?"

Swaying with the waves, Gabby gives Berry a gentle pat. Looking forwards to her spheal evolving so that they could swim even more.

Brown eyes brighten with the good news, and she nods in response. “That’s great! I really want you to succeed dad.” She knew he was ambitious, and Gabby would be proud to be a councilman’s daughter even if it meant that she would see him less than she already does.

She trusts his words. Gabrielle didn’t see a reason for him to lie, and was happy for her father. Dreams weren’t a easy accomplishment, many people aren’t able to fulfill their dreams but she knows that her father can. He is the strongest man she knows after all, there’s nothing that he can’t accomplish.

She strives to be like him.

“Me too!” Gabrielle admits with a giggle, her stomach had been gurgling but the sound of waves had acted as a cover. Looking towards the sky she could see that the sun was close to setting and many people were heading out of the waves and departing back to their homes, Gabrielle honestly didn’t want to leave knowing how busy her father was she figured it’d be awhile before they could spend time together like this again.

Can we get meat sticks again please?” Once she asked a sudden idea struck her, “Also I’m pretty tired from all this swimming and splashing…. Do you think that.. you could carry me? Just for a bit?” It was a complete lie and most likely a long shot, but Gabrielle batted her eyes and pouted a little to try and convince her father more.
