Remi, mid-squat to inspect what she had assumed was a single teacup from some children's teacup set was, in fact, very much alive. It springs to life before her very eyes, unburied from the dirt and blinking owlish eyes up at her. Disgusted and put-off, she steps back abruptly and tucks her hand back to her chest.

"No one's in the market for broken china."

And so the Sinistea is left behind while they move along.

This time, the Pokemon they uncover doesn't come up from the ground. It isn't buried beneath long-forgotten piles of dirt and unattended tombstones. It comes from behind, whipping up a angry whirlwind that blows her Sneasel- both of them- nearly right off the beaten path.

While they recover, Remi gapes in awe at the bizarre, horrific creature that stares back at her with one eye and too many arms and legs and wings. It charges up for another attack, a cosmic power that threatens to blast her backward. But the Pokemon wrapped in her black leather jacket squirms and appears, and a shimmery shield or something, probably a safeguard, does it work like that? stops the attack from landing.

She gasps, taking a step back.

"What kind of multiverse lookin-ass shit--"

And with that, the Sigilyph disappears and she is left, on her ass, to pick up her slightly bruised ego.

The last Pokemon they stumble across before ultimately deciding to take a break and go home is what appears to be a long-deceased apricorn tree.

When she passes it the first time, she had been going up Mt. Pyre. When she passes it the second time, the roots have been disturbed and its eye is wide open and following her. Ghosts have always given her the heebie jeebies, but this is by far the worst of it.

"Oh fuck."

In the span of a second, it manages to tie a DESTINY BOND to her Pangoro, and they both go down the moment Bane takes a swing. When Trevenant faints, its soul sucks the life (temporarily, not permanently) out of him. He faints immediately after.

Two pokeballs capture one and return the other, and she shudders and makes the trek back down the mountain in silence.
