Hm? Oh I don't know anything really." Gabrielle responds to Uri's question with a shrug, continuing along the path until she heard a close rumbling. Out of nowhere a sandslash erupted from the ground, "Woah!!!!" She exclaims completely caught by surprise.

She forgot that wild pokemon could come at you without warning. Turning back to her older brother, a small smile forms. "Well... here goes!" She states, hastily pulling out a pokeball from her pack. A Litleo emerges from it, and the fire type quickly adjusts to his surroundings eyes locking onto the sandslash. "Ok Pawz! Like we practiced! Headbutt!" Charging forward Gabrielle's Litleo rams into the sandslash, delivering a powerful attack.

Unsure if it was enough to force it into a pokeball, Gabrielle takes her chances. Scrambling for a vacant pokeball and chucking it at the sandslash.

She's somewhat startled when the pokeball clicks shut - indicating the successful capture. Her last attempts of trying to catch pokemon did not go this smoothly. Brown gaze traveled towards Pawz, the small fire type also seemed to be surprised but didn't express much care. Perhaps it was luck? or proof that their teamwork had been improving due to their training.

A feeling of accomplishment blooms inside her chest, it intensifies with her brothers praise. "haha.. thank you!" Gabrielle responds a little louder than intended, her cheeks warm with a blush. Wanting to say more Gabby was cut off when Uri had to deal with his own wild encounter, a thievul.

She watches silently, eyes filled with curiosity on how he and rich would handle such the tricky pokemon. His plan was different than what she expected, and Gabby laughs unintentionally when Uri expressed his sudden disgust. "That was Awesome Uri, Rich!" A large grin forms on her lips.

Since the encounters were out of their way, Gabby walked forward to retrieve the pokeball which contained her newly caught sandslash. She stares at the device momentarily before pocketing it.

She spotted another pokemon lurking about in her peripheral, her head turns and gaze settles on the skunktank who had just crept from it's burrow. It's eyes glinted with mischief and trouble - Gabby could tell this one would be a little more tricky. Not wasting any more time she directs Pawz to attack, "Pawz's quickly! Firefang!" The litleo lept into action, fangs catching on fire as it attacked the skunktank.

The skunktank's tail lashes out in retaliation the firefang's damage being mitigated. Snarling fiercely, the skunktanks claws lash out - pouncing on the small firetype with it's long and sharp claws. A relentless fury swipe attack Is unleashed onto the litleo. A panic stirs inside her as she reaches for the next pokeball.

She wasn't going to give up, Uri's cheers encouraged her even further.

"Pawz, get some rest." A beam of light flashes as the fire type is confined to the safety of her pokeball. And the next one is quickly sent out - a swoobat manifesting.

Gabby figured that the skunktank would be weak to attacks in the air.

"Echo, Air Slash!" Obeying her trainer, the swoobat conjures a powerful gust of wind, aimed at the skunktank. The move proved to be effective, and Gabby saw her chance. Clutching a pokeball, she hopes that it would be enough to ensure capture.

At last the skunktank decides to stay in the pokeball. A sigh of relief escapes her, and she walks over to pick up her new pokemon. Turning her head she spots a mudbray in the distance but it quickly catches onto Gabrielle's intent and dashes away before she has a chance to battle it.

She smiles at her brothers kind encouraging words, but Gabby felt that she wasn't ready for the gyms "Think I need to build my team up some more!" She replies eyes glance at her Swoobat who seemed to be in agreement.

Minor league sounds like a good start.. it's just I'm kind of afraid of going to far from home." Her voice trails, and she scratches her scalp uncomfortably. "Region isn't very safe after all right?"
