her smile shifts into something a little more devious. being gentle isn't the nature of tarot, unfortunately. the cards tend to be a little brutal. call outs are a specialty of her tarot deck too. sorry, bestie.

"what kind of question would you like to know the answer to?" another shuffle, if only for dramatic effect. her stare could almost be unnerving but she's halfway between this world and the next. besides, there's hardly ever a single thought behind those eyes.

"i can read the current energy but it is not set in stone," she pauses. the smile grows. "free will and all that fun shit."

he really should've thought about it before stepping into her tent. still, he takes a moment to think before deciding on one.

and then, she's flashing a wide smile. it's half crazed, half excited, and mostly up to no good.

"let's see what the cards hold," she murmurs softly, as if halfway to another dimension by now. a breeze blows gently through the market and with it, faint whispers from beyond.

tavi shuffles once more, this time pausing to collect cards that jump from the pile. she stops at three and arranges them in a neat line.

"remember, this is based on current energies. it can always change..."
