snorlax (m) thick fat - rest, sleep talk, surf, blizzard, thunder, fire blast

they definitely aren't pro wrestlers, more amateur than anything, but perhaps of his status he's managed to secure a match on the cards tonight.

and he's also decided to make it an open challenge for anyone willing to participate.

"no need to be shy!"

more comfortable in front of crowds now thanks to luka chêne, he waves at them, gesturing down to the ring where his wrestler snorlax awaits.

Wearing sneakers as she is, she stands at no more than 5’5”, and looking up at him with keen azure eyes, she waves and gives him a bright smile.

Truth be told, Ceri isn’t really a trainer, nor does she care for pokémon battles. She’s too busy with her own life for all of that; with school, with her research, with her jobs, with the things that are important. So much so that she doesn’t even know she’s actually talking to a member of the Elite Four…

HNN? Who pays attention to things like those? Not her!

”Great! I’m Ceri, by the way, and this is Duir.”

On cue with her words, her pokémon is released onto the ring, and while Ceri herself is small and petite and harmless-looking, the Rillaboom stands at almost seven feet. As big as the Snorlax or perhaps even bigger, and it sure doesn’t look friendly.

And yet, Ceri looks at it like it's the cutest thing in the world, clapping her hands together with a smile.

”Good luck, Duir. Have fun!”

And just like that, a DRUM BEATING comes for the Snorlax, starting the fight.

no name, because matias never bothers with those except for a select few like smoochy boo his smoochum. or his happiny, azalea, aptly named by Eris Halla.

because this is a wrestling match, snorlax chooses not to start the battle with a bang. instead, it stumbles forward, roaring as it meets the rillaboom in the center of the ring.

only then does a FIRE BLAST erupt.

While Ceri is all too preoccupied with socializing, her Rillaboom screams in pain when being hit by the FIRE BLAST, the sound soon turning into a powerful and loud BOOMBURST that could make anyone’s ears bleed. In response, Ceri puffs her cheeks about it, looking as if she has a full cheek pouch.

Too bad the Rillaboom is too preoccupied with punching the Snorlax.

"wrestling? not really! but battling, yep."

the BOOMBURST catches him off guard as well. his ears ring in pain but he powers through it, as does his snorlax. much like in the kung fu panda movie, snorlax takes rillaboom's punches with its stomach, causing them to simply bounce and deflect off.

chills of a BLIZZARD whips around them before snorlax throws an uppercut of its own.

Somewhere in this multiverse there’s probably a movie about a Snorlax that learns Kung Fu and really loves noodles (coincidence? I think not), and in that movie the villain’s punches would probably bounce off the pokémon’s stomach just like those of the Rillaboom do.

rillaboom is definitely the villain. it even looks like one, especially when compared to something as cute, adorable, and innocent as matias' snorlax.

"battles can be really fun! like this one, for example."

the ENDEAVOR pierces through the thick flubber of snorlax, reverberating it to its very core. it coughs out a loogie that splashes onto rillaboom, but it's no problem because from behind snorlax comes a tidal wave of SURF that looks to wash it away.

As if it were no more than some sorry ground type or something, the Rillaboom stumbles back when the huge wave of the Snorlax’s SURF splashes against it; struggling to stay on its feet and holding onto the edge of the ring.

It would probably be something that would concern most trainers, given that defeat is imminent, but all Ceri does is tilt her head slightly while looking directly at Matias.

”Is it?”

What part of it is supposed to be fun? Ceri really doesn’t get it at all, but she does no more than shrug, turning towards her Rillaboom.

”Du-ir~ I thought you wanted to fight?”

There’s a growl on the pokémon’s part, and perhaps somewhat reinvigorated by its trainer’s words, it uses what strength it has left in an attempt to SLAM the Snorlax.

SLAM it all rillaboom wants but there's no taking down the tanky snorlax, at least not that easily. its stomach cushions most of the impact but the momentum is used to channel another burst of FIRE BLAST. from that close, it's difficult to avoid.

and yes, battling is fun! it's mostly from the adrenaline, though, but as someone as seasoned as he is, not much comes from this one in particular.
