to the typhlosion, tyrantrum only huffs, shrugging past it only to charge ahead at a rhyhorn that appears. the rhyhorn's DRILL RUN is mitigated by a smart ANCIENT POWER that shakes the foundations, causing it to slip and fall. with the chunky rhyhorn on the ground, it's easy work for tyrantrum to simply CRUNCH on it until a pokeball inevitably smacks against it.

"not much has changed, honestly."

just some more responsibilities, and that's it.

he nods, just as confident as matias was that he could. few creatures were as temperamental and hot-blooded as pyroars. and if he could tame those, nothing could stand in his way. "if you see one, remember me."

one-sided rivalries were not uncommon, nor was the aggression that followed. fire-types were particularly popular with these tropes. a shake of gabriel's head has steam erupting from the pores of his typhlosion, but he stands down quickly. it finds comfort in taking it's anger out on the nearby salandit.

the FLAME BURST collapsed against the superior heat of the typhlosion, and before another could form, it ROLLED OUT the wild-pokemon and smooshed it beneath his weight. gabriel captures him moments later.

a ROCK BLAST crashes into tyrantrum, breaking upon impact. the dinosaur roars in pain, but shrugs it off all the same as it charges at the carkol, making quick work of it with a CRUNCH. it flings it off to the side, and as it comes smacking into the ground, matias throws a pokeball at it.

"be sure to send FERNANDO SILPH my regards."

contempt practically drenches his words.

typical. he could bet that matias was the first in line to complain about something, though. the squeaks of the smaller fossil pokemon catch typhlosion's attention, and he snuffs it out with a flamethrower. kinda pepehands, if you ask me.

his comment forces a chuckle from him, though he can't explain why. gabriel returns the tired typhlosion to his orb, releasing a salazzle instead. she curls around his leg affectionally, before scampering off after the emboar.

"my mistake, then. seems like you, he and another powerful elite four member, all shared last names." a poke, a prod; one to garner information, than to mock. nearby the POISON GAS brings the emboar down quick enough to gabriel to seamlessly toss a ball after it.

after rhydon's final HORN DRILL, tyrantrum roars in defiance, CRUNCHING down to end the battle. matias throws a pokeball after.
