Maverick found himself deep within the darkness of shoal cave in search of some more ice types. Why? Honestly, he didn’t even know. There was a few ice types he wanted to add to his collection, despite not being an ice type collector. With him, he dragged out Idalia. His shiny delphox. The somewhat lax psychic fox used her wand to light the area, every now and again seeing will o whisps out to expand their line of sight. Maverick would admit, having so many pokemon often meant some of his creatures didn’t get out as often as others. But, thats why he had an exhibit.

“Don’t let your guard down,” the man mumbled to the fox, feeling as though they were being followed, “This cave can be rather dangerous both to traverse and the wild pokemon that live here.” The creature let out a growl, eyes narrowed as she tensed up slightly. She didn’t know much about this cave, but trusted her master word. With a simple swirl of her flaming wand, the delphox sent out another round of will o whips in front of them. This caused the area before them to light up for a moment before the balls fizzled out.

It didn’t take long for a wild pokemon to appear from within the shadows of the shoal cave. A boisterous rumble that shook the cave erupted from in the darkness in front of them. Maverick held his breath, hoping that whatever it was would leave them alone. With that amount of disturbance it was creating, the trainer knew it was something big like an aggron or onyx. The fox by his side held still, waiting for her master to move.

Several minutes when by and the earthquake like tremors disappeared, indicating that whatever wild pokemon it was had left them alone. Maverick breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that if they angered the wild pokemon they would have been in deep water. With the threat gone, Maverick waved for his delphox to follow. She held up her flaming wand, sending out small will o whips out to see whats in front of them.

Several hours had passed since the last encounter with a wild pokemon down in Shoal Cave. It has been so long that the chill of the air from being underground has began to penetrate the man’s thick protective layers, casting chills down his spine ever so often. The burnt scarred man let out a huff, a plum of hot air made stream from him. He sniffled, feeling that if he stayed down here much longer he would surely get a cold. The delphox by his side let out a small whine, noticing her trainer becoming colder by the hour.

It wasn’t until something moved at the edge of their light circle when the two woke form the chilled state. The deplox send a will o whips in the shadow’s direction, lighting up an ice type known as Bergmite. Honestly, he will take it. He was freezing his jiggles off down here. “Idalia,” the man manages to push out in between shivers, hand rose to point to the wild pokemon, “Take it out. I want it.”

The oddly colored fox wasted no time. Her gaze fell upon the ice type, letting out a soft snarl at it. The wild pokemon’s eyes widened, turning to flee. The tamed pokemon was swifter, holding up her flaming wand to blow out a stream of fire like a FLAMETHROWER. The ice type screeched in pain, melting and soon passing out due to the type disadvantage. Swiftly, the man plucked out an empty two tone ball. He tossed the pokeball, attempting to capture it. And as soon as it was captured, the pair would flee the cave in search for warms.
