The massive hell hound’s ebony nostril flared, chest cavity expanded and retracted with each inhale and exhale she took. Her nose hovered over the frozen earth, following the closest and freshest wild pokemon scent she could find. It didn’t take took long to find the first wild pokemon, moving into the dead tall grass. A sudden rustle moved to their left, drawling the attention of both the tamed pokemon and her master. Azula lips curled up, revealing her pearly whites as dark snarls ripped through her throat.

The menacing snarl forced a wild treecko popped its head out, glaring to the canine. Azula growl even more, muzzle parted to let the sounds resonate even more. “Easy girl,” the male warned, knowing that she will attack if not careful, “Remember, you can’t attack them here.” The canine let out a snort, straighten out and still not letting her gaze off the wild pokemon. Maverick scoffed a chuckle, wondering if ice types are as problematic as his. Too bad he didn't know, Pryce, Wulfric, or any of the other ice type gym leaders around the world. Either way, it didn’t; matter. “Let’s go.”

Deciding to pass on the wild grass type starter, the burnt scarred man and his beloved hell hound moved deeper into the safari zone. Azula nose lifted to the air, nostrils flared in the bone chilling breeze that rushed through the area. Maverick shivered, feeling his cheeks get colder and his nose start to feel sickly. But his suffering was in vein, Azula letting out a warning bark to indicate she found something up wind.

Without hesitation, the canine lead the way in the general direction of the wild creature. Soon, a massive part of antlers moved about before them. It couldn’t be mistaken as anything other than a stantler. The trainer was swift to get down, hiding behind a large bush. The canine however, wasn’t so luck. She was too big to hide. The stantler rose from his feeding, eyes met his predator. tHer ruby eyes landed on the creature, lips slightly rose as a low growl rattled her chest. “Shit,” the man growl, standing and laughing a ball towards the creature.

The Stantler bucked, the ball hitting its forehead with a light thump. It opened, sucking the creature in and fall to the ground with a light thud. Maverick let out a sigh, moving towards the ball. If they were careful, these creature were known to cause havoc on your mind. It would have probably been a starter idea to bring something that would infatuated to creature, like attract or have something with the ability of cute charm. That way, it would be too distracted to hypnosis them. Either way, the job was done and it was time to find another wild pokemon to capture.

It didn’t take long for the pair to come across yet another pokemon in the safari zone. And to the scarred man surprised, the snover was different colored than normal ones. It waved one of its arm like appendages, pushing through the dead tall grass to get closer. Maverick couldn’t help the grin that tugged the edges of his lips, seeing the creature smiling with a friendly gesture. Azula, however, wasn’t that friendly.

She snarled, teeth barred at the wild pokemon. The snover stopped, expression fell into concern. “Enough,” the man growled, kneeling down to the pokemon’s eye level, “you're going to scare it away.” The canine let out a snort, taking a few steps back to let her trainer interact with the wild safari pokemon. The snover hesitated at first, gaze shifted to the human to the canine. “It’s alright,” the man tried to ensure the creature, hand extended out with a pokeball in hand, “I won’t hurt you.”

The snover’s gaze fell upon the ball, eyes widened with delight as it darted to Maverick. Azula let out a grumble, eyeing the creature carefully. The wild pokemon paid her no mind, running up to Maverick and tapping the ball in his hand. The capsules opened, pulling the creature into its cage before sealing closed. Again, the trainer let out a huff. Honestly, the thing seemed to friendly. Too willing. Either way, the capture was done and it was time to find another. Maverick rose and motioned for Azula to follow. The hunt continued.

With another capture down, the pair continued to search the wilderness of the safari zone for another pokemon. Warm gaze flickered down to his hand, twirling the two remaining safari balls. He already had an idea what he wanted. The sound of Azula growling got the man to look up from his trans of deep thought. To no surprised, the little ice type known as snorunt appeared. It peaked at them from behind a large rock, curiosity in who these creature was. The massive hell hound let out a snort, hot steam rolling out of her nostrils. “Easy.”

Maverick let a friendly grinned take over his expression, kneeling down to the pokemon’s eye level. “Hey there,” the man tried to sweet talk the wild pokemon, “You can come out.” The wild pokemon moved out from its hiding spot, waddling closer to the human male. The trainer offer his hand, letting the pokemon get familiar with his scent. “Is there any chance you want to come with me?” The ice type’s whole body shifted to one side, unsure of what the human was saying. Maverick presented the ball, offering it to the pokemon. It stared at the ball, taking time to think about it. Or at least, thats what Maverick assumed.

But after a few minutes of silence, the snorunt moved closer to touch the ball. It opened, sucking the creature in and locking behind it. “Nice,” Maverick mumbled, standing to shove the ball back into his pocket, “Alright. We got one left.” Azula snorted. “And honestly, I’m getting cold so let’s make this quick.”

After the last encounter and capture, the man and his canine continued their adventure through the safari zone. And as expected, the later it got in the day the chillier it got out. Winter was around the corner, a bitter chill in the air. The clouds have thicken throughout the day, completely covered what little sunlight it letting through. Maverick shivered, feeling as though he was in some kind of giant refrigerator or something. He sniffled, shoving his cold hands further into his pockets. The has penetrated his jacket, chilling him to the bone.

But some kind of luck, another pokemon appeared before them. Warm gaze flickered over the wild pokemon, Azula letting out a around of growls. At this point, he honestly didn’t care anymore. Maverick just wanted to go home. Pulling out his last safari ball, he tossed it at the started wild pokemon. The ball hit, sucking the creature in and locking behind it. Maverick sniffled again, strolling up to the ball and plucking it off the ground. “Okay. Let’s go. I’m freezing.”
