A sigh of minute relief—one he doesn’t even know he’s holding in—escapes him.

Now if he only had his Swampert, then this wouldn’t be so difficult, but considering that there were only five Pokémon with him left, he was definitely down a useful companion—and he knew risking his Metagross right now was going to be fucking crazy…

Alpha the Lucario looked over at the other humans, before releasing a wave of calming energy from his being—he could tell everyone else was just about ready to shit their pants.

Hell, even Lars himself was fucking nervous.

But knowing his human companion had the worst case of RBF, he couldn’t really tell what the spiky-hair was thinking.

“Why does this feel like a big-ass obstacle,” he muttered quietly to himself as he took point, the Lucario by his side—looking straight ahead at the top of the power plant.

“Careful!” he shouted as a bolt of lightning came arcing through the air, who knew where it was going to land.

The Lucario let out a howl of warning, as Lars took a dive for cover—hopefully his companions did the same and followed his lead.

Once the crackling feeling in the immediate vicinity had diminished somewhat, he looked up and around again.

“Alright, let’s go.”

But nothing would prepare him for the next part of the trip—honestly, approaching the place alone was like a major hike in and on itself.

“That—that bird, I’m sorry, I have nothing else to call them—has to calm the hell down,” he grumbled as he flattened his hair once more. Honestly, what a mess!

He was much tempted to bring out another Pokémon, but knew that his Metagross needed to rest before the eventual final confrontation at the top—well, the moment they got as close to the power plant as possible.

It was a bit of a shame he couldn’t break out the ‘ice wings’ and go up there, fly right into the face of the lightning-born mirage, and tell him to fuck off.

‘Because I know I want to tell ‘em to shut up.’

‘Hah, I feel you.’

They made it—they finally made it to the top—but the static electricity crackling in the air made everyone nervous, on-edge, but nonetheless they were here.

And now they had to take care of the big pressing problem that was screaming bloody murder at them.

“Let’s go,” he said quietly, as the Lucario pulled back and this time, he summoned his Altaria and Gardevoir.

The number one option he had to take down the Zapdos was… he didn’t want to think about it, who knew where Ryujin was at this point—

“Snipe it down!” he continued, as the Gardevoir took aim with a Moonblast and the Altaria also followed with the same attack—a dual beam of Moonblast headed straight at the angry, screeching Zapdos.

“Alph, get ready to defend if it comes too close!”

The Lucario stood at the ready, glaring up at the Zapdos who was still pretty much screaming bloody murder at everyone present; the hairs on the back of their neck standing up and pretty much giving them fucking hell.
