The fairy incense plumped out the irresistible scent consistently, a cool winter breeze carried the smell as far a the eye can see. It wasn’t his normal type of hunting, but it did work better than searching himself. A low growl rattled deep within Azula’s chest, forcing the trainer gaze shift on her. Despite her warning of uneasiness, a hint of a smile tugged the edges of his lips. Maverick was starting to notice that her belly was becoming rounder each day. Soon, she will give birth to a litter of puppies. The question was, what kind of puppies? Would they be houndours or growlithes?

In no time at all, a creature of that typing appeared from out of nowhere. Warm gaze fell upon the flower bracelet looking pokemon that was known as comfey, just as Azula stood to confront the creature. The fairy type paused at the sight of the massive six foot seven hell hound, wanting to get closer to whatever was creating that wonderful scent. Maverick eyed the creature, feeling that it was just way too girly for his taste. “Scare it away,” the man growled in a low tone, head gave a single nod to it, “I don’t want it.”

On that cue, the hell hound took in a deep breath. The taste of sulfur licked her throat. It boiled, ready to fire almost instantly. Her muzzle parted, letting out a FIRE BLAST in the comfey general direction. The fire singed the edges of the poor creature’s flowers, baring able to dodge the immense fire attack. It turned on a dime, fleeing without even as a glimpse back. Whatever that scent was, it wasn’t worth it. As the creature fled, Azula let out a low grumble. This made the man chuckle, knowing that she missed on purpose. “Are you getting soft?”

It has been several hours sense the pair spotted came across another wild pokemon. It has been so long that the fairy incense was starting to slow down, the once heavy plump of smoke that drifted in the wind was now a light dusting of a haze. Maverick frowned, annoyed that once again he was wasting his time with these things. Warm gaze lifted to his beloved hell hound, seeing that she was taking a nap. The man scoffed, cast lifted when he thought he heard something rustling in a near by bush. To no surprised, a ralts peered out and looked upon them.

The man debated with himself for a moment, trying to decide whether he wanted to caught it or not. But seeing how he already have the fully evolved one of these pokemon, the ex gym leader didn’t feel like having another one. Although, now that he thought about it it would fish a good trade. Rolling his eyes, the man gave him into the thought of trading it for something more valuable to him. Maverick whispered to Azula, whom woke from her short little rest. The canine yawned, standing up to stretch and licking her muzzle. “Knock that ralts out over there.”

Azula growled, eyes fell upon the target. Her nose lifted to the air, using ODOR SLEUTH to be sure her next attack would hit. And when ready, the canine launched herself forward. Muzzle parted, teeth CRUNCHED down on the little body of the ralts before it could get away. The poor little creature screamed bloody murder, failing around between her teeth before passing out. Azula let out a muffled growl, trotting over to her master to drop the uncurious creature before him. “Thanks.” Maverick tossed an empty ball at it, sucking it into the capsule and sealing. With that, the pair left the around to head home.
