her back aches. rocket's higher-ups have been fuckin' busy, that's for sure, but all their little projects aren't funded by fairies. nah, they're funded by those less fortunate, and far too desperate. being the teeth for the loan sharks is an exhausting job and she sure as hell could use a long nap. 

but that's not on the schedule today. no, today she gets to check up on her sister and spend some quality time with her. she doesn't mind it, really, but her muscles are sore and she's grumpy. 

so she's a bit callous when she meets up with avery. rhea trots at her side and swishes her tail when she sees the other gal.

avery yawns, groggily making her way to parker. she'd slept practically half the day, and woke up only because she knew parker would get mad if she was an hour late. avery prefers the cover of night, but she always made an exception for her sister. bregrudgingly, though. with sunglasses to protect against the harsh sun, and shithead sitting on her shoulders, she catches sight of parker.

"heya sis!" she says. avery's boots crumble gravel underneath, and it's loud as she approaches. shithead hops off her shoulders as she bends down to scratch behind rhea's ears. the umbreon was so cute. she peers above her sunglasses, glancing up and down at her sister.

"yeah, and you look like you just crawled out of bed, princess." what, rocket not keeping her as busy as they are parker? granted, a lot of the missions she'd gone on lately had been completely optional. nothing wrong with a finished quota and a few extra bucks in the bank. 

"either that or a fuckin' vampire. can't decide." 

she stretches her arms over her head and sighs contentedly when her shoulders pop. then she shakes 'em out and nods to rhea. "hope you're 'wake enough to teach shithead a thing or two. 'cause rhea and i sure as hell aren't."
