Having been reunited with an old friend in the form of his Empoleon Lamorak, Josh was in a pretty good mood. Not only was he able to bring more of his old friends across the border to join him in Hoenn, but he now had more date to make those holographic 3D models for. Speaking of, that was precisely why he was out here, hunting for more Pokemon. Of course, it wasn't just for the data. The thought of meeting, raising and training new Pokemon, making new friends in them in the process? It excited him. It would make him a better Trainer in the end, a tenant he had never quite forgotten.

"Oh, damn it all!"

Like a snowball in the wind, a Yanma decided to strike first before the Trainer could call out a Pokemon, forcing him to dodge an Ancient Power. "A Yanma, eh? Don't believe I've ever seen one up close before..." he mused as he called out a surprising fighter -- his Poipole! "Ezio, let's test you out in battle, shall we?" he brought up as Ezio would dodge another Ancient Power, before launching a Dragon Pulse that hit the Yanma by surprise.

The two Pokemon floated around and circled one another, looking for the advantage. Yanma went for Bug Buzz, but Josh called for Ezio to move to the side as the Poipole ducked under its wings and used Dragon Pulse once again, this time from short range. When it began to go down, Josh tossed a Pokeball at it.

Hopefully Izumi Yamamura wouldn't mind another addition to the ranch.
