Toshiaki's extremely sociable to the point of coming across as too earnest. This stems from his lack of friends/companionship during his childhood. Peers his age were either annoyed or disinterested with him at the time. Or he wasn't allowed friends. Now with a bit more freedom, he is loud and proud about what he likes and doesn't. He has a childish disposition at times, but is far from a child. He's mature when the time calls for it. So, if you befriend Toshiaki you'll have a loud, but loyal friend indeed.

Given his kind and generous heart it's difficult to make an enemy out of Toshiaki, yet not all that hard at all. If one were to find out who is father is chances are he could gain some underground enemies that way, as his father has financially wronged lots of people, in turn ruining their lives. One thing to do that really gets on his nerves is showcasing an excessive amount of greed, and of course, cruel mistreatment of Pokemon and people alike. He has a strong sense of justice. He dislikes Team Rocket and other evil teams for that very reason. Anyone he might declare a "rival" is still a friend in his book, but there's always that competitive edge driving them both forward.

Romance Exes

For the longest time Toshiaki led a very sheltered, overly-controlled life. His mother worked on undoing the damage his father caused, but his perception of romantic relationships is still badly warped. That being said Toshiaki isn't averse to love or romance, he's had small crushes here and there, but never pursued any of them. He is very denese and doesn't pick up on flirting or any other kind of advancements. It's not impossible to win his heart, but you might need to work a little harder at it than others to gain his trust, and to get him to open up emotionally.
