Something has to be done about this, or the University's reputation will continue to spiral into the gutter. Every incident - including this, the third - has resulted in one subset of books being in the student's possession on each occurrence. It's Driscoll's bibliography, in short, and I told you it was a mistake to open them to the lower-level curricula. They are insightful works of theorycraft, but the younger crowd is too keen to turn theory into practice, and look at the results! The lab assistant found Jones experimenting on her Magnemite; the thing's eye is still twitching, according to the reports, and they can't figure out how to put it out of its misery.[break][break]


We've confiscated the books and committed Jones to the ward, as we did with Smith and Edwards, but I don't know that there will be any serious improvement - the boy's a danger to society. I sent the pull order to the publishers to cancel the run for next semester in the bookstore, and Driscoll was none too happy; when I explained why, he was horrified. Theory is one thing, practical engagement entirely another. Notify the faculty to update their resources where needed - if this occurs again, I will personally ensure the blame rests entirely on your shoulders.[break][break]
