Jessie giggled. It was funny, hearing a tough-looking man say "okie" like a child.

"Hmm... no. Surprise me. I want to see what you can do."

With her bowl done, she placed it on the coffee table, legs curled to her side as she leaned next to him.

"I'm sure you'll do fine. You didn't mess up chopping the vegetables. Just make sure you don't burn anything."

"Please don't. I kinda like it. Could use a bit more decorating, to give it a more lived in feeling..."

Maybe a few plants to spruce the place up a bit. Make the area not so sterile looking. But, of course, it wasn't Jessie's space. This was Niko's.

She looked up when he leaned on her, the kiss planted on her cheek. A smile crossed her lips.

"Hey... do you mind if I stay the night tonight?" she asked, placing a hand on his shoulder to pick off a stray pink hair that had attached itself there.

"Unless you're busy. It's okay, I know it's last minute."

niko's never been picky about where he lives. as long as there's a roof over his head and running water, it's good enough. so now that he has the luxury of being able to choose his home, decorate it, and make it as nice as he wants, it almost feels surreal.[break][break]

perhaps that's why the thought of decorating has never occurred to him before this.[break][break]
