It was time to gather more recruits from the cause. Rumours persisted that some new and interesting pokemon had recently entered the Safari Zone as well. Belial's confidence in training any Pokémon to be a killer was high. But training the ones he'd heard about?

Easiest of the peasiest.

So he sets out on his trek with his MIENSHAO, CHAI, walking beside him. The Safari Zone would be hard-pressed to find a better fighter than her. Most professional trainers in the region would, in fact.

Playing kickball with a CHINGLING wasn't, perhaps, the nicest thing to do with a Chingling. But Chai was having great fun with it regardless. Her expertly timed kicks and knee-bounces made a great show of it.

Eventually, however, that raucous ringing that came of it bothered Belial's ears. "Alright! Time to kick it away and move on, Chai, c'mon, let's go." He orders, waving the show off as he proceeds to lead the way.

The OSHAWOTT was a warrior at heart, that much was certain. The fact that it managed to put up quite a fight against Chai was utterly impressive. Though it had a lot to owe to its SHELL ARMOR for that. Paired with a dangerous NIGHT SLASH, it was able to keep the Mienshao on her toes throughout the whole bout.

Even still, it was no match for her training. Before long, she managed to land a DRAIN PUNCH square at its snout. The powerful attack drained the last of the stamina it had, and it was seconds before it collapsed to the ground with its shell. Afterwards, pulling out a timer ball and catching it was a cinch.

The FLASH FIRE in the CYNDAQUIL's heart is made evident in the way it battles. Scrapping with Chai as tenaciously as a Pyroar, it manages to tackle her with a FLARE BLITZ. She staggers backward as a BURN sends pain up the length of her right arm.

Impressed, but enraged, the Mienshao goes into a frenzy afterward. In a flurry of flips and aerial acrobatics, she takes a BOUNCE to the sky before diving down with pointed feet. Despite hacking out an emergency SMOKESCREEN, however, the Cyndaquil is struck with powerful precision before being rendered unconscious.

Belial produces a timer ball from his pack afterwards and catches it.

The wild ROWLET assaults the Mienshao and her trainer with a RAZOR LEAF, managing to nick both of them as they run for cover behind a tree of their own. Chai leaps upward afterward, hopping from tree branch to tree branch as the owl continues to try and assault her (BOUNCE).

Belial takes the flank in the meantime, grabbing a stick and making as much noise with it as he can. "Hey, look! Over here!" This manages to distract the Rowlet look enough for Chai to land a devastating kick. It drops to the ground afterward, unconscious. And Belial smirks as he pulls an empty timer ball out of his pack and taps it against it.
