Thomas and Brutus would both be greeted by a Reuniclus. The Psychic-type would have a brief Future Sight. She didn't like what she saw at all, and promptly hightailed it out of the area, desperately trying to get away from them.

Thomas looked to Brutus, with a worried look on his face. The Pangoro just shrugged its shoulders, dismissive of the fleeing Reuniclus. Sure, Reuniclus was at a natural disadvantage against a Pangoro. But the way she floated off struck the trainer in particular. She stuck around for a moment, before suddenly deciding to get out of dodge.

Still, the duo pressed on.

An Elgyem wandering along the area would spot the trainer and his hulking Pangoro. For some reason, she decided to meet the two of them head on. Targeting Brutus with her Miracle Eye, she would immediately see past the Beast's Darkness. While Brutus looked on in confusion, Thomas immediately got worried. He recognized the tactic, and was getting ready to switch Brutus out for Ripper.

Only for the Elgyem to just leap in for a Headbutt.

The attack, by virtue of her Miracle Eye's targeting, somehow got the perfect timing to strike the Pangoro, despite the sprig in his maw. The attack pissed off the bear, more than anything. And just like those before it, the Pangoro delivered a Throat Chop to the attacker. The attack, though with just enough force to disable the attacker rather than outright kill it, would still cause the Elgyem to double over in pain, grasping its throat, before fainting.

Thomas and Brutus quickly moved on. They could only hope the aggressive Elgyem learned her lesson.

A Claydol would emerge from the fog, attempting to blast at Thomas with a Psybeam. Brutus quickly stepped up and shielded his master with his body. The attack would have no effect on the Dark-type. The Pangoro would charge the Claydol, aiming to go in for a Throat Chop. The Claydol would desperately attempt to Mud Slap the Pangoro, hoping to blind it.

Sensing the oncoming attack with the aid of his sprig, the Pangoro managed to jerk his body away from the glob of mud in time. He would then continue his assault, striking the Claydol with a vicious chop. The attack was enough to send the Claydol flying back several feet, but it still remained conscious. The Claydol would then begin to take in Cosmic Power in order to bolster its defenses.

Brutus would follow up on the assault by striking at the Claydol with an Ice Punch. This time, the Claydol would go down, falling to the ground, 'unconscious.'

For a moment, Thomas mulled over the Claydol, before ultimately passing on it, instead continuing on with his day.
