It only takes a few minutes of walking for them to run into a wild pokémon, a Slowpoke crossing their path ever so calmly and without a rush.

It’s only for a second or two that Mars looks at it, taking a sip from his drink before moving along and leaving the Slowpoke behind.

The Espeon dutifully follows along, paying the wild pokémon no mind.

Solosis can often seem like no more than amorphous blobs of slime, yet by the time they become Reuniclus, the multiplication of cells makes their true form clear enough. If Mars were the sort of person who has a huge interest in science, perhaps he would appreciate the pokémon more than what he does, but Reuniclus tend to prefer brute force over using their psychic abilities, and as such, they’re not a pokémon the banker often uses in battle.

The wild one that appears before him is avoided, much like the Slowpoke, and as he does so, he looks at his watch.

A Kirlia is no Unown, but it is satisfactory enough. For now, at least. Mostly because he’d rather not leave the route empty-handed. There’s always a use for more Gardevoir and Gallade, right?
