Ollie’s quick to perk up, recognizing Paxton’s date faster than Paxton himself. One could practically see Paxton’s brain processing before he recalled a small memory. Right, a Drillbur. He hadn’t had the means to take care of it, far to active for his lifestyle. Also, city life made it hard for a pokemon who wanted nothing more than to dig tunnels around. “Priam, yeah What’s up? How’s the pokemon I sent you.” He asked while his kitten scurries under the table, through Priam’s legs and stared up at the Gabite.

“Honestly, sure, I’m pretty boring myself.” He said with a laugh. “But uh, aren’t you a bit young for a speed date? Or is school life that rough?” Was he even a student? He…looked like he could be in college. A little baby faced but there. Not that Pax could talk, unable to grown anything other than patchy, weird mustaches. Regardless, he’s happy to let the other guy talk. “I wanna know what you’d have on your profile that’d make me swipe right?”

"Alright, alright Mr. Priam." Paxton said, agreeing to appease his date with a small laugh. "I just meant, like, figured you'd be taken already." he said with a shrug. Then again, he assumed everyone around him, especially if they seemed a little younger and a little more accomplished, were dating. That just seemed like the thing capable people with their shit together did. [break][break]


"I'm glad I can offer a mirror t' reflect your glow." he continued, more amused than anything. Truth be told, he liked fading into the backgroudn anyway. But back to the date. "Mmmm, ok you got me on the hair." Paxton said, as he rested a hand under his chin as if in deep thought. "Uhh, I don't fish too often. I like hiking, and I do a lot of nature stuff like camping an' shit." He took a pause before adding. "Once a month I go out and blow up watermelons in the desert." What else did he do. "Oh! Uh, I can make cute lunchboxes sometimes. Like the basic pinterest shit. Level 1 food." Was that interesting enough?

"Nothing more satisfying." Paxton agreed. Perhaps it wasn't the best of things one could do with a sniper rifle, but it sure as hell was cool to watch. He stared at Priam for a moment before asking, "Like, year round fireworks?" He had to stock up during the summer if he wanted a chance to use the really cool ones any other time of year. It's especially difficult around the city. Cops swarmed on that kind of activity in an instant. He would know. [break][break]

"Good a time as any, I'd say." he said without hesitation. "Mmm...yeha, I like 'em. Can't have too much of it in one sitting though or I get real sick." He looked up at the Gabite, who for the most part, had been still. Ollie for his part, had also been, eyes wide and unblinking as he competed in a staring contest with the bigger pokemon. "Ollie, only really likes sour/sweet stuff. I prefer sweet & spicy." he said.

Paxton is smart enough to recognize that maybe, just maybe, the caliber of these fireworks would be fucking awesome. Any innate shadiness he would look away from. He didn't know. He had no gut instinct. "I'm interested, put a pin in that." he said allowing himself the beginning of an excited smile before Priam moved right along, taking the conversation at his own pace. "Garbage? Maybe something in it, specifically?" he offered, grimacing at the thought. Ollie had gotten into the trash a couple of times, but he'd never seen the cat eat it. "We can catch up some other time." he said with a snort before he waved at Priam and scooped up his cat. "Good luck with your next one." he added before shuffling to his next set up.
