It could be just a tool.

"Taking a temporary research location for the League." he explained. He spots another, semi abandoned building. Stone and steel stretching upwards defiantly, and scorched black from the constant lightning storms. "How about there? Hopefully no zombies this time." Or whatever the hell those disfigured pokemon had been. His Porygon chirps, it's blue body orbiting it's trainer before setting to task. Very helpfully, it began to slowly move about rubble and debris that had collected around the structure and blocked it's way in.

Hopper lifts boulders and chunks of scrap metal with ease only beeping in concerned when something ragdolls out and slams on the ground with an unceremonious thump.

Rumors of a new tomb that had been unearthed in the desert had made their way to his ears, and Paxton, eager to look into it, had rushed out as soon as he could to investigate. He wanted to at least locate it's existance. He could call in more resources to cordon off the area....IF it was real. [break][break]

That's how he found himself in the desert, making his way underground near a ruin site. Sure, the guides had said don't go in, but he was a government official. If anyone had the authority to investigate if there was something to preserve here, it was him right? And if he didn't find anything, well then he'd leave. Easy enough right? [break][break]

So he moved forward with care, flashlight on and gear strapped tightly to his body as his Porygon followed him around. "You would think a place like this would've been picked clean by now if they're giving tours." he grumbled before coming upon the fallen wall. The new hallway discovered that seemed to lead into a new section of the temple he was in. "Let's be careful." he said, mostly to himself as he was the one walking. Hopper had the easy job and scouted ahead for him. He moved forward slowly checking for anything that could hide a pressure plate.

He looked around the facilities. "Isn't this a bit too small for it?" he asked. Not to mention the security issues. "Hard to get a crowd down here as well. Too many checkpoints." he added with a small shrug before moving right along.

"I did get readings of Isaac Merlo 's Suicune to compare to our Walking Wakes." His own securely in his pc as opposed to his Magnezone who freely roamed around as a calm, trained presence for Paxton. "Paradox pokemon exhibit about the same amount of energy as any other pokemon. Legendaries have a bit more nuance, but Suicune and a Walking Wake wasn't comparable. Even the shard samples we have read higher than mine." he explained with a small shrug. "I think it helps if you understand paradoxes just take on a wilder form because of the nature of where they come from. But with our data, paradoxes have been confirmed a different species altogether. Not a regional form." Which is dreams or some sort of tera crystal phenomenon. It's a headache and a half to pull at that thread though.

"Blessings be from Ho oH then, eh?" he said as Josh went on to explain the activation of the SACRED ASH form. amidst sparks and a cloud of dust forms a monochrome look alike. Josh's evidence for their similarities falls to the wayside as he looks to other personnel who move in to observe and annotate. The nonstop sound of keys clicking echo in the office. A look of intense focus, kept Paxton's eyes glued to his screen. Next to him, sitting on top of an electric mug warmer, was a half drunk cup of coffee. He'd been at it all morning, feeling that he was finally making some headway in the work PENELOPE LIVY kept piling up on him. Promotion or not, he was still her deputy and that made him as good as any person to shove all other duties onto him that she couldn't focus on. [break][break]

AQUA hadn't been too difficult a transition, partly because there weren't many additional duties attached with it. A welcome relief he hadn't voiced to anyone. Elise Calcifet arrives unexpectedly. It takes him a couple of seconds before he stops what he's doing, finishing a sentence before blinking owlishly at the ambassador and standing up. [break]

"You said the...Galarian Moltres?" there weren't many reports on this one but if they had one Galarian bird. it only made sense that the other two would fall in line as well.

His gaze narrows and he bites back an insult, half tempted to jab his pen into the asshole's wind pipe. But they'd kept him for information. Not that he imagined that was going anywhere. "Don't patronize me when you're barely any older than I am." he stated as he let out his Magnezone to keep watch. Immediately Joules beeps, LOCKING ON to the Rocket before beginning a typical sweep of the lab. [break][break]

"You're bold for someone who's lost their only trump card." he said as he looked over the many metal and leather straps attaching Bryan to a steel chair, chained down to the floor. All the stops pulled. He gives Bryan a once over before picking which arm to stick. "If you want to die just ask. Don't try to get a needle stuck in your vein." he added beginning to tie off one of the man's arms with a rubber tie to start getting the veins to bulge. [break][break]

He's not gentle about it either, letting the rubber pinch and pull at the hairs on his arm while he moved on to the wipe. "Xerneas is dead. Whatever gift it'd given lost it's source of power and leaked out of you." he added, not worried about his immortality or super strength. He's like Eva Morales . He can assume he will still have some higher than average reading, but stabilizing.

"Morning, Annalise." Paxton greeted, quick to offer an easy smile as she approaches. His hair is tied back and his sleeves are pulled up. The scientist speaking with him takes their leave after showing off something in their report. Paxton's busy as usual.
