Paxton looks over the little Pumpkaboo in deep thought before picking up a lsip of paper and beginnign to fill it in. Based on the last round he had a better idea of what the number ranges might be, but it was probably still to early to really tell. Either way, he filled in his own guess before he went to grab an apple cider donut.

He snaps his eyes back to Eva Morales , eyes narrowed in a familiar, cold glare as she scolded him. "Don't waste time asking questions you already know the answers to then, Professor." he said before adding. "Perhaps focus on keeping our councilwoman happy and healthy." he said brushing over her bristling with much of his own. "Argue with the Commissioner, not me." He wouldn't dream of doing this without Eva. But he also believed AQUA needed this information. Or at the very least, if this was the state it would leave Freya in, they needed to figure out every side effect after. Maybe that would convince her to never use it again.

He wants to be positive. But he'd seen Freya's wounds and her sensitive barely stitched up injuries. Much like a lot of pokemon who mega evolve, Freya was suffering through the rapid evolutions too.

And despite the small interruption, the team moves seamlessly around them. They would proceed with the plan. His eyes land on Freya. He couldn't understand how much effort this was taking her to seem healthy and normal. But he knew she was proud like that. So he overprepared for her symptoms and her pain. Whatever they carried usually for this kind of emergency operation, he'd ordered double. When Freya begins the ritual, he gets behind the triple walled plexiglass to observe. They begin, and the camera are on. Dozens of little Porygon flit around a main console as multiple staff members track individual energy signatures and camera keep a tight angle on the subjects.

Even here, Paxton can hear the unnatural breaking of bone as it stretches and shatters to be melded again and again. Wet sounds of flesh ripping as the undertone of Rayquaza's focus. Of course, things go as expected. Scientifically anyways. A scientist keeps reporting ever rising levels of primal and infinity energy. A syncing of sorts between Avatar and patron. Finally stability, with primal energy humming and hovering at the most concentrated numbers they've ever seen yet.

Rayquaza then bears itself down protectively against its vassal. Paxton is hesitant to allow scientists to go near her. So he volunteers to do it himself on the very slim chance, he insisted, anything would go wrong. "It won't. It's just Freya." he assured. His own partner Joules, buzzed and clicked in concern in a way that's almost morse code and really isn't. "Standby Joules. If you want, you can be on extraction." he said, lowering his voice as he pat the metal creature before letting Eva Morales take the lead. Instead, as he waited for the Professor to grab what she needed, he tried to speak to the Councilwoman instead. "How are you feeling, Freya?" A basic question, but perhaps the talking would keep her focused away form the pain she was very clearly in.

"Do better." If he noticed Genny shrinking away from him, he didn't care. He doesn't alter his words. Paxton has been more than kind with his words and with his time. She apologizes but he doesn't quite accept it. "Keep on this path, no rest, no sense- and you'll deteriorate into a burden on your colleagues, and a name on a memorial." it's harsh, but it's also a logistical reality. He looks at her injuries and can't imagine training on a bum leg. Or running into a Sootopolis part two. He pulls out a business card. On it highlighted, is the number for SAPPHIRE's wellness services. He slides it into her hands with ease. He understood hope. He understood how Eva Morales could weaponize it to bring out the best in people. But he'd also seen hope turn into heroism, and then into recklessness. The dead get put out of their misery, and they leave behind a sea of grief.

His attention shifted to the Yamper that accompanies her. He didn't recall this pokemon. How coincidental it also couldn't walk. Was this the doctor's way of cheering her up? "Where'd you get this scamp?" he asked, his final act of kindness and changing the topic. Paxton doesn't get up. If Genny wants to leave, he won't keep her here. Half a sketch on his notepad is good enough to build and paint from.

"We can't afford to wait for Freya to be in another life or death fight with Walsh for her to resort to this." Paxton countered as they finalized their preparations. "At least here, were have a fully staffed medical team ready to stabilize." he added. "In combat, who knows how long it'd take us to get to her."

"How fast these mutations could kill Freya? How can we combat PRIMAL energy flood. Either releasing it from the body or neutralizing it somehow." it wasn't just Freya either. "We have MATIAS SILPH at risk as well if he begins to do whatever this is. And we've almost lost him once already." he added, concern evident as he turn to the supporting staff who was reporting their 'all clears'. "This will affect all avatars of the Weather Trio. Kyogre was showing similar resonance even if it didn't have an avatar."

He looks up at Rayquaza and then back at Freya, trusting the human more than the god. "I want her to do it now, rather than rip her own body's scar tissue to shreds." he said, looking at the Councilwoman with simple determination. "I'm not going to let her die, and you're going to help me with that." he added. It was clear Eva was worried. With good reason. Freya's monstrous transformation was, in short, horrifying. But if she did it again, he's not sure what would happen. And he's afraid it would be something much worse.

"I know. Still relieved you are." It was normal to worry. Not because of MATIAS SILPH record, but because even with the amount of experience he had, nothing was certain in battle. And he looks ok too. A good look over at Elite Four and he barely had any scratches or bandages on him. Not unscathed, but still pretty good compared to the others he'd met with.

He takes care to check one of Matias' arms and go through the whole process of beginning to pull a blood sample. "I'll take Eva Morales 's soon enough too. I have time." he said. Freya's samples didn't seem like they were fading anytime soon. "I think...during Sootopolis Rayquaza and Kyogre did something strange. freya morningstar 's samples are unusual." he said as he wiped an alcohol wipe on the inside of his right elbow. "You're right though, it is infinity. But it's primal too." He didn't doubt Matias had it inside him as well. But he wanted to know if he had elevated rates.

"I want to know if you're hitting the level of intensity she is. The levels she was at can't be healthy for a human body." But somehow she's fine. Somehow, physically, Matias was also fine post PRIMEVAL.
