With the hand offered, Paxton goes in for a typical handshake as he introduced himself to his newest ally. "Cassidy. Likewise." he said as he slipped forth his call sign for now. He'd explain it later when they came out of this shit hole. [break][break]

"That is weird, yes." he said before shrugging. "The only science I did was environmental. This feels more like a neuroscience kinda problem." They keep forward, before he tries some doors. Locked, one after the other. This felt lie ka set up. He didn't really have strong feelings towards...hospitals? Was this a hospital? "It's my first time actually being in it, so I'm not familiar with how these dream mazes go." he admitted. There's a rumbling sound far behind them and it gave the pinkette pause. Looking back at Colton he asked, "Have you seen anything other than me?"

His Durant settled by his feet, and Paxton remained crouched as the ranger came closer. Slowly, when he's sure he can get in eye sight with out alarming him, he stands up and gives a small wave. As an added gesture, he pulled off the black helmet protecting his skull, scuffed up as it may be, revealing sweaty pink hair, and a bit of kelp growing around his right eye like a monocle. Paxton takes a moment to gesture beyond them at some spinning teacups and the rollercoaster, pausing only when he heard a sigh. He turned to look over, panicked for a moment. Was he losing him already? They'd just gotten here- He felt his heart stutter in his chest, eyes dipping down and away from Luci. [break][break]

He smiled despite his flustered nerves. "Teacups first then." He said leading the Fisk to a safer, initially anyway, ride. An all around mixture of people gathered, but it's not busy. They manage to secure a teacup for themselves. "This thing spins us." he said, gesturing down at the little table-like thing in the center. He tugs at it, spinning the cup a quarter inch before looking back at his date. There's a glint of mischief in his eyes as he waits for the worker to start it.

Sawyer's words are given a backdrop of storms and mocking and that horrible, fucking beeping like a life monitor about to stop. He finds his breath. Open mouth gasping that slowly comes into cold control as he goes somewhere else, and he is straining to stay focused. But emotion overcomes reason. He is shaking as he tires to steady himself to not fall into instinct. But as adrenaline spikes, survival instinct kicks in. Fear, anger, and hatred all mix and burn a toxic mess in his gut. He has flashed of CALLISTA MOON , of @sol , of desperately trying to run back to them before his own end started theirs. [break][break]

Sawyer drops, proving what he'd thought all along. "Worthless." the word is is strained as he whips around to smack them with the back of his elbow, moves less calculated as he simply chooses to cause harm. "You shouldn't have hesitated." he added, breathing ragged. "Because I won't." The words are not a threat, but a promise. That much is evident in how he sprints straight to Ashley, forgetting the previous threat of the handgun and aiming a fist low into his gut. [break][break]

They separated quickly. Paxton gets up on his feet, fists up defensively only to rock slightly as his partner falls. Heaving and twitcing, Sigma tried to get up, attempting to push herself up with whatever she had left of consciousness. The HEX grabs at her metal body and she lets out a roar of agony before slumping on the found. pieces of herself falling and scattering on the cave floor. [break][break]

"Shit." Sigma wasn't coming back. He'd be returning a corpse. He tries not to waste the distraction, moving in towards his opponent to try to side sweep him off his feet before a loud BOOM! echeos out and a giant flash of lightning falls on the two pokemon bodies. "What the hell is that?" The PARANOIA crept up. Could it be interdream mist? Neon yellow eyes glow in the gloom and all three dart in different directions. Going form the pokemon to Paxton to Zev nefore staying unfocused, one eye on each. The ground rumbles and a BULLDOZE directed at the pair forces Paxton to push back to dodge.

Uninterrupted, the TRI-ATTACK blasts forward, a mixture of lightning, fire, and ice heading straight for the Vileplume and partner. It cuts through the cloud of POISON POWDER, sucking it in towards the powerful beam before it blows out even further, keeping Paxton at bay as he checked his pokeballs to swap out. [break][break]

He can spot the little resupply outpost now that he's clsoer. With knocked out- or, you know, possibly dead League agents around boxes of half opened supplies. "Move back!" he ordered the Porygon as the purple dust coated hte pink and blue pokemon. As it began to shake with the poison taking hold, and sends out a small Skitty in its stead. "Get ready to run them off, Sierra!"

Paxton drops with the Beast before he can try to steady himself. He slips forward and lands on the ground with Zev, arm quickly grabbed into the elbow lock. He lets out a grunt at the sudden pain. Unable to pull away, instead he keeps close aiming a a jab at Zev's ear to get him to falter in his grip. [break][break]

As he squirms and kicks trying to right himself, Sigma moves forward in her own fight. The Steelix gives chase at the Jellicent, slithering her giant body after, pushing back abandoned cargo and bodies that littered the ground. Not wanting to give the dual type a moment's rest, her mouth crackles once more with electricity as she unhinged her jaw and clamped down into the balloon pokemon. Just as the WATER PULSE blasts out, THUNDER FANG runs through, easily currenting through whatever salt water mixture the ghost type was made up of. At a cost, of course. Sigma chokes on water, spasming and ripped off the Jellicent from the blast, smacking harshly into wet ground with a loud crash.

Before Joules can reach Paxton's side the DRAIN PUNCH swings into focus and knocks her back. Sparks crackle and the Magnezone falters, smacking against the ground as they try to recover. Fritzing, and beeping erratically until they disappear in a flash of light. Paxton's had managed to return them before Ashley's kick sends him rolling on the ground. A horrifying last sight for his partner. [break][break]

But he's on his knees, choking and sucking in air anyway. Before he's still unarmed, and now he's in even closer ranger to a loaded gun. A gambit that did not fall in his favor. He looks up at the Rocket speaks. Plans in bits and pieces buzz in his brain. The words echoe, meaningless. He doesn't care. He really doesn't care. There's a flinch as the noise sends his ears ringing again. His hand lets out a tiny Riolu. They see the scene set, the ground disturbed in a Joules-sized depression, and the Bewear and they set to work. QUICK ATTACK gets them there as the smack against the far larger opponent. Paxton, meanwhile, tried to push himself to his feet. "No." No he doesn't remember. No, he won't just let him wave around a gun in his face. His eyes are on the gun, not the cocky smile or the upper hand he thought he had. Another punch is inconsequential. As long as they had fire power, they'd keep toying with him enacting whatever revenge fantasy a terorrist could cook up in the course of months of self pity. [break][break]

He pushes up, hard, darting for the handgun again, aiming for a grapple before a fist deflects him. Again, he chokes, and again he can't breath and there's a sudden burst of panic and adrenaline in his body. He grows so cold, a hand going to his throat and clenching hard as he wheezes despite still standing. He forgets about the hand gun, eyes locking in on Sawyer's smug face. It flickers, vision blinking in and out before he surges forward, aiming to cut the distance with a sudden headbutt back. The unease and PARANOIA building all throughout the encounter balloons, changing his priorities drastically.

Joules isn't able to get the Rillaboom off them and beeps a steady rhythm with increasing alarm. Especially as Paxton moves closer and closer to Ashley. They struggle, pushing themselves off the ground as they tried to reach them in order to offer defense, even at the expense of their own body. They stumble forward with Bongo gone, and turn, all eyes in horror at the pink bear that falls form the sky like a comet and crashed down on the earth, on their partner. The beeping sped up, reaching a nonstop tone that grew louder and louder into a strange metal shrieking. Power crackles around their magnets as they put them together before letting out a ZAP CANON. [break][break]

Paxton isn't worried about the hit. He knew how to throw a punch. What he wants it the gun that he's not even sure is firing real bullets right now. The gorilla screaming and Joules' steady warnings go ignored as he focuses on his objective. Fingers grasp at the metal before he hears his opponent scream. [break][break]

That's when Joules' is shrieking. That's when the breather is knocked out of him. BRUTAL SWING thrusts him forward without his input, and the other Rocket is ready and waiting, redirecting him with a sideswipe to the head that sends his whole body forward to the side and onto the ground. As he drops, wheezing and shaking from shock, the ZAP CANNON blasts at Jelly the Bewear, trying to cut access to their trainer. [break][break]

Paxton can't even curl up, choking on wheezes and back flaring in pain. Even with kevlar on, Bewears were dangerous. He's probably snapped something, cracked it at the very least. But Joules is still shrieking, and he can't hear that SOS signal again. So he gets to his knees, eyes wide and vision flashing with spots. He needs to get up. ZAP CANON could only do so much for him right now. His pokemon- Joules needs to tap out. He paws for their pokeball at the Magnezone tried to rush to his side.

Upon seeing the Vileplume with their trainer, Hopper began taking the initiative as Paxton moved closer right behind them. Embers flickered, ice crawled up its body, and sparks flashed as it charged up its own TRI-ATTACK against the Rocket.

The Rillaboom's HAMMER ARM stops her charge, and squashed her on the ground with a loud thunk. Metal dents and magnets spin quickly, eye balls darting about and readjusting to the newcomer. Before bongo gets off they let off a crackling DISCHARGE, blasting electricity in an area around herself thanks to the ELECTRIC TERRAIN. They beep loudly, reporting something nobody but Paxton could decipher. [break][break]

"Thanks for the heads up!" He snapped back, still annoyed they were that reckless. But it seemed like they recognized Ashley, and the type of threat they were. A hunter, with Paxton the prey. This wasn't just some random skirmish. [break][break]

That's evident by how he screams his alias. Paxton has no choice. He doesn't know how well this brat's aim is. But he's agitated, unfocused. He's fought that before. And won. This was no different. Before the rifle he was just a soldier. It's just a tool, but he had others he could rely on. Paxton closes his eyes, adjusting to the darkness, resting them as he hugged his rifle. He pulls out a SCATTERBANG and tosses it upwards, whistling sharply as it sails in the air. [break][break]

Joules' eyes move from the Rillaboom to straight towards the SNOWSCAPE and close. The little explosive goes off with light and sound and Paxton huddles behind rock to protect himself from the disorienting noise and light. And then he's up, running off his makeshift nest and straight for Ashley. He surges forward with the most disorienting thing he can think of, a punch straight to the jaw. "Get better aim, dumbass." he said, little bits of kelp escaping from his right eye under his helmet.

It's a simple move, but it pushed back the Steelix with an angry roar. She's soaked, and it hurts, but she doesn't stop, furious at the carnage she's witnessed. Her large tail whips forth trying to smack back the Jellicent towards Zev with her IRON TAIL. [break][break]

Zev moves back and Paxton gives chase, following the momentum despite it giving his opponent too much control. It's fine. It'll fine fine. "This." Steering into it, Paxton tries to shoulder check the Rocket hard, attempting to push him over the fallen and let him lay there with them.
