A sweet, wafting smell disturbed the duo's training, causing the mouths of human and Pokémon alike to water. "Mmmm, apple pie... my favorite." Andrea cooed, rubbing her own tummy.

However, it wasn't real dessert that had unwittingly drawn their attention. Rather, it was a gentle Appletun that was drinking water from the stream, minding its own business. Still, it looked close enough to a giant apple pie that Chomper rushed straight towards it, opening his hungry maw far and wide. Startled, the chubby dragon Protected itself against what it presumed to be an attack, before turning tail and running off.

"Aww, what a pity... I think it went that way." Andrea ventured deeper into the cave with Chomper in tow, but quickly lost the Appletun's tracks, and consequently got lost herself in one of the cave's branching paths. Who knew what other creatures lurked there...

Andrea examined the unfamiliar surroundings in awe and bewilderment. She definitely hadn't explored that part of Meteor Falls before. Verily there was more meat to these falls than met the eye.

While navigating the cave, the duo came across a wild Fraxure guarding its nest. There was something very unnerving about this Fraxure in particular; The way it glared at them with its blood-red eyes, while simultaneously grinding its tusks against the rocky wall to make them sharper, made it look quite unhinged - like it was gonna tear them apart if they so much as looked at it the wrong way.

"Eheh... Pardon the intrusion." The dragon-hooded girl chuckled nervously, a comedic bead of sweat hovering over her head. "We'll just... move along." With that, she and Chomper started walking backwards, moving as far away from the menacing Dragon type as they could and praying that it wouldn't give chase.

As Andrea staggered backwards, she accidentally bumped rear-first into a suspiciously round rock... only it wasn't a rock at all, but a wild Shelgon that did not take kindly to the human using it as a chair. "Eek! S-sorry!" The young woman hastily got up.

The ball-shaped Pokémon let out a series of angry noises through its reverberating shell, before shooting a tiny Ember against the girl. Chomper blocked the attack, which hardly fazed him thanks to his Dragon typing. Finding a worthy opponent in its fellow, unevolved pseudo-legendary, Shelgon charged at him with a Double Edge. The Deino defiantly met its charge with an Outrage. The two attacks met in the middle, causing both Pokémon to be knocked backwards as a result of the impact.

"Oh my gosh! Are you alright?" Andrea worriedly rushed to Chomper's aid, who in turn raised his head weakly off the ground and nodded reassuringly. The dragon-hooded girl sighed in relief. "Thank goodness..." Noticing that the Shelgon had rolled upside down and was unable to get up, she took pity on it, and threw a Pokéball towards it. Perhaps their meeting had been the work of fate.
