her brows furrow and her heart races, feeling his fingers along the fabric of the wetsuit. her immediate reaction is to use her arms in an attempt to cover herself up, though there was nothing to cover. "a-and stop looking at me." [break][break]

the man moves away before she can secure her gloves, and she's ushered to have her back turned to have her zipper done up entirely. with her hands bunching her hair over her shoulder, she pensively hums a response. "pretty deep down, if i recall.." luvdisc didn't typically swim too close to the water's surface, if she recalls. "it shouldn't take too long to find them, though. we'll have mingqiu to help with the search."

He merely chuckled at her as she so quickly sought to shield herself away, and as the accompanying attendant closest to him gave him a small pat upon the shoulder to let him know that the deed was done, the man merely turned his head to gaze towards the waters around them. ”You’re so endearing when you get flustered like that~,” he mused, leaning over slightly to peer across the rippling waves across the surface. ”You’d think you’d have grown more used to it after being around me so much.”[break][break]

A hum drifted from his lips as he tapped his fingers atop the edge of the boat. ”It really is a blessing you have a water type with you, if I have to be honest,” he mused with a hum. ”...Although I can already feel Gungsu shaking in his Pokeball at the mention of her name~. Undoubtedly from anger, but…yes.”

argh.. he was so difficult! [break][break]

difficult to deal with! even though she's at least grown.. somewhat accustomed to his flirtatious behaviour, it doesn't change how easily flustered she gets when he puts so much attention on her. she's an officer, not a performer.. there was no need for him to keep his eyes on her like that. but she knows that by reacting, he'll have more of a reason to be amused, and more of a reason to smile at her misery. she hates it here. [break][break]

she's gazing into the water, over the wooden boat they've been told to stay in, until they reached their destination. his comment on her water pokemon is responded with said pokemon being released in the water, the primarina letting out a happy whistle into the air, bring in a familiar environment. "oh, trust me. mingqiu has been rearing to finally come out into the water." she smiles slightly, leaning against the boat to pat the water pokemon's head. [break][break]

though she quirks a brow at the mention of a certain bird ".. she's gotten him that angry at her?" though she knows that mingqiu is a little.. overbearing and stubborn, she didn't think he'd be quivering in anger in his pokeball at the mention of her name ".. huh. too bad for her, because she feels the opposite way."

With an amused touch within his gaze, he merely listened to the words spoken to him with an idle, ongoing hum, only shifting his attention away from her as the capsule bearing the aforementioned Pokemon had been tossed out. Upon noting the familiar, melodious whistles that mingled so preciously and graciously within the airs and waves around them, he instinctively broadened his grin with genuine amusement and the like. Pursing his lips, he gave a returned whistle in what could only be taken as a greeting, though not without gently tapping the increasingly shaking capsule latched upon his own waist.[break][break]

”She’s definitely gotten him angry, but then again, he has a rather short temper~.” A chuckle escaped his lips as he glanced down towards the duo of Pokeballs he’d brought with him for but a moment prior to gazing over the waters once more. ”Anywho, shall we be off, Officer~? It’d be rude to keep Mingqiu waiting, anyways, no?”

he's infuriating. [break][break]

.. and yet she loves him, so that says more about her than it says about him. [break][break]

the primarina smiles hearing her whistling being reciprocated (finally, she thinks, someone who won't get angry at her for whistling. at least *his* trainer was more understanding of her need for music). though she stays waiting in the water as fiora pulls the mask over her lips and nose, also pulling her goggles over her eyes and hair back into into the headpiece. she doesn't want her hair getting damaged, after all. [break][break]

"mmn.. make sure to stay close, alright?" the woman stands on the boat, then drops herself into the water with the primarina - though doesn't leave without her partner, and she waits for him to join them before the primarina offers her other flipper to the man. she can swim with only her tail.

There was always some varying amounts of joy that he got from their interactions, regardless of whether or not she seemed more annoyed with him over everything else. At the end of the day, he knew her feelings— and though there had been things that happened within the past (never to be freed from the shackles of knowledge, and never to be forgotten), that had somehow turned out to be all that mattered in the end.[break][break]

He won in more senses than one.[break]
That was what mattered.[break][break]

The prize after it all was her, and so he dove after that prize as she descended into the waters. With what began as a constant shift of both arms and legs, alike, to keep himself from sinking, he glanced around as the bubbles subsided before eying the two within the waters as they waited for him.[break][break]

He hummed beneath his mask while swimming over to join them, holding securely yet gently onto the water type’s fin.[break][break]

”Don’t have to tell me twice~,” he chuckled.

ack, she hates it when he's so coy like this, even though it's tugged at her heartstrings once or twice. she hates to admit it. [break][break]

so in an attempt to turn her attention away from him, she urges the primarina to swim just a tad bit quicker, and the songstress' hums are muffled somewhat as she travels down with both ease and grace. it's starting to get darker, but thankfully, surrounding pokemon help to make it a bit more visible. [break][break]

a little more swimming brings them to the perimeter of.. what appeared to be a little cave, with only a small opening, a trail of luvdisc scales following inside. so she taps the primarina gently, urging her to bring the duo over. "arceus.." she mumbles, letting go of the pokemon and working to try and move a bit of rubble, before swimming downwards to check the lower parts of the landslide. no luvdisc trapped under the rocks. [break][break]

"mm.. we could try to remove the rubble ourselves, or we can report back and have others do it." she doesn't know if mingqiu could blow it away without harming any luvdisc, after all.

He thought about it for a little while, gradually swimming his way over to join her after letting go of the Primarina’s flipper. Rather than joining her closely, however, he took care to stop a couple of feet’s worth of distance behind her as she spoke her part, furrowing his brows while surveying the areas beneath them from where he remained.[break][break]

He clicked his tongue, eying her while shrugging.[break][break]

”I’d personally say we head back, then,” he murmured, narrowing his eyes towards the cave for a small while longer before turning around. As he began to make his way back to the dual type awaiting them, he inhaled deeply yet quickly, breathing the breath out within a similar manner as he softly took the creature’s flipper and pulled himself the remaining distance back to her. ”If we did manage to clear the rubble ourselves, it’d take hours by hand. …If using a proper move to clear the area isn’t an option, then we’re better off calling for professionals and guiding them here now that we at least have the location.”

he has a point..[break][break]

she glances at the primarina, who already has her flipper being held by dal. bad as she feels for leaving the pokemon behind, it's much safer to have professionals move the rubble, rather than have her primarina blast the rocks blindly - at best it would harm a few other pokemon swimming around and at worst, it would injure one of them. no thank you. [break][break]

so she sighs, taking the other flipper of her pokemon and nudge at her to start swimming back up. "mmn.. that sounds like a good idea." her feet start to idly kick to help her move forwards, just so that the primarina doesn't use too much energy trying to drag the both of them through the currents. on their way back, however, fiora does take a gander at the seafloor below, admiring the pokemon and the sights.[break][break]

it's then when she idly hums, forgetting that he could hear her. [break][break]

".. an aquarium date would be a fun idea, some day."
