and she's still wondering why she did - i mean, he is enjoying himself. maybe it's just a part of her that's been wondering if these outings are from his own interest, or if they were still just a way for him to try and get at her, or try to get under her nerves, or to rub in the fact that he's a free man despite her knowing that he does commit crimes (though his crimes are still small, he's still a member of rocket, and that's what makes him a wanted man). and she's supposed to arrest him. [break][break]

so then why does she struggle so much with keeping the red to her cheeks under wraps? why does she struggle so much with his teasing, and his compliments? ah, no, she knows the answer - but she's just in denial, and she'll refuse to acknowledge it. so now she glances away, her cheeks getting a more furious red. her eyes fall to her hand as it holds the gem of the necklace. it's a beautiful accessory, she has to admit. she hates that she's looking upon it warmly. [break][break]

then she perks up at his voice while they walk, and her lips curl into a small smile as she tilts her head. "... so you invited me out, even though this isn't your forte?" it's amusing, especially when he carries himself with the swagger that'll make anyone second guess it. [break][break]

though now she hums, and her eyes light up a bit. they're at a night market, so there should be more events. "lets see.. there should be some live music events happening somewhere?" something they both bond over, even though she knows they already do it via singing. [break][break]

"i wonder if there are any open mics.."

"tell me that earlier!" she cries out, her voice raised into a slight whine. [break][break]

she's no good with ghosts, and it just so happens that a ghost had harmlessly came to scare her (though she acted like it was the end of the world, and she'll admit that it was a little dramatic, but her life could have flashed right before her eyes). on the other hand, her yamper is taking a liking to these ghost pokemon, yapping up and chirping to get the large, gaseous pokemon's attention. damn the little guy. he'll attract more ghosts with all that barking, but what's she to do when he's such a good comfort pokemon?[break][break]

"y-yam yam, calm down.." she tries to hush him, to no avail of course. it goes on for a couple of seconds, until she opts to recall the little dog pokemon in favour of calling out a pichu - more to replace the electric dog in her arms. "well.. did they find anything?"

there's no lie; she despises him, and his face, and his voice, and everything-- that used to be the case, anyways. she's just as confused as he is, though she hates to think that he likely already knows, based on the sly grin on his lips as she struggles to find the words. [break][break]

now she glances to the side, eyes narrowed to use the strands of brunette to fall against the side of her face, hoping to at least shield some of the blush that creeps onto her cheeks - and as always she will insist that it's a blush due to the embarrassment that comes with his suggestion. "d-don't worry about it." she stutters over her words, bringing a hand to gently cup the lower half of he face "i just-- i don't like being indebted to people.."

"way too overworked." the exasperation isn't lost when she lets out a sigh. her eevee sways her tail as a woman's belly rises with the sigh, and now she's curiously pawing at her shirt. "between the public panicking over the dome over our heads, the meteor, and other shit with rocket.." she groans, slowly curling and tensing her abdomen as she curls up the couch "things have been wild, and i haven't been able to catch a break." hopefully she can, now. she doesn't have to worry about headaches, right? [break]
ah, no, she forgot about one. [break][break]

when she remembers, she lets out another louder groan as her hands reach beneath the eevee's front legs. "and then there's one specific headache." she grumbles, brows furrowing with he utmost distaste "stupid, flirtatious rocket who just messes around."[break][break]

now she moves the eevee off her stomach, and she pushes the bangs out of her face "like, have you ever seen a criminal taking an officer out on a date? or getting her a gift?"

the first thing she notes is his voice (deep, really deep - enough to get her off guard for a second) before her eyes could process. he stands much taller than her, and honestly.. she has to wonder why astra wouldn't come herself when she said she set a date up. looking at him, he's.. definitely someone astra would try to pursue. or she just wouldn't shut up. so in other words.. someone who will probably help her with forgetting about someone else (and that's the extent of her thought. she isn't going to let him intrude on her date, especially when he isn't even here). so she smiles in return, tucking brunette locks behind her ear. other hand raises to lightly press the knuckles against her lips. "pff.. i guess, yeah~" her eyes turn to the statue momentarily, before falling back to him "hey, at least it means most of the stalls should be done setting up?" look on the bright side, it's given her enough time to contain herself. although she intends to turn first, she takes a moment in her step, humming and glancing back to idly stare at a man - idly analyze a man. there's some.. familiarity, but she can't quite put her finger on it? so she tilts her head, with a slight quirk of her brow. "have i seen you before?"

for even suggesting that, mind. it's the fact that he isn't wrong that rubs her the wrong way, and makes her all the more frustrated, seeing him wear such a coy smile as her cheeks flush in another hue of red. "what kind of gift would it be if i just blindly grabbed it..?" she asks, but she'll admit that maybe she did do just that. it did catch her eye, though, and it did suit him - whether she enjoys that fact or not. it.. works out well, anyways, so there're no complaints. not from her.

she knows of the mind games that people play, and usually she's more trusting than this; yeah, it's the bias she has against him to begin with. it's knowing how he's supposed to be a liar, how he's supposed to be known to be good with his words, and how she knows that he's so good with that silver tongue that's had how many years to develop (she's met someone like that, before, and they don't talk anymore). but if this is a ruse, this is all a very.. very elaborate ruse, but she also hates to think she could be bought over by this. so what if he got her a necklace that she did like? so what if he put it on her himself? so what if he.. gave her a gift with her in mind? she didn't care, and she won't be swayed. .. is what she would say, if the flush on her cheeks didn't fall to a deeper, red hue. [break][break]

a hand raises to gently cover the lower half of her face, in an attempt to cover the fluster across her cheeks as her brows furrow. then her eyes narrow, and she knows - she's nowhere near a good a liar as him. "i-it's--" she starts, then takes a small step back as darker, brownish-violet eyes meet his "it's.. my way of paying you back, and showing my appreciation." yes, that's it. it's better than admitting to feelings that she's trying to keep under lock and key. "it's for.. taking me out to the faire. and i thought that it'd suit you, too, so--" fuck, fiora, stop talking. you're panicking and saying more than you should.

so it was going to be an easy job. it's going to be an easy job going in and out, an no, she won't have any heart attacks and, no, she won't have to worry about something trying to spirit her away in the middle of the night. peachy, perfect, easy money. at last, she feels more at ease knowing that someone wasn't here to deliberately make it worse for her. and her heart. god save her. "that's fine" she clings to the yamper, who starts to pant, happily. she never hugs onto him this tightly before, so all the more affection for him. "the sooner we finish up here, the sooner we can get home. this place creeps me ou--" [break][break]

she's about to finish, until the face fo a gengar suddenly rises right in front of her, of all places, like a phantom, jumping out in front of her. the woman practically throws the yamper, straight up into the air, causing the little pup to yelp in unison to fiora screaming the following: "AAHFURGNEK--"[break][break]

what was the sound? that, my friend, is the sound of fiora turning into a keysmash. luckily, the yamper lands right on top of the gengar, right between the ears, harmlessly, as fiora's instinct is to hide behind a man holding her heart.

she'll say, holding the yamper like her life depends on it. she just doesn't want to deal with ghosts that could be lurking around. ghost pokemon? she can deal with those. ghost people, though? actual ghosts? those were scary, because pokemon moves don't work on the people who have actually died, and stayed human spirits. an officer on patrol, he says, and it's true, but that won't stop her from trying to seek the comfort of a little canine friend. "he's just.. here because i don't want him running around and causing trouble." it's a half truth when she's holding on due to her fear, and she's sticking so close due to paranoia. [break][break]

she's careful as they walk on, god knows she doesn't want to run into anything.. unsettling. [break][break]

"w-we just need to make sure there are no ghosts here, right?" she asks, holdding the marshmallow of a dog close "and there are no ghosts here, right?"

it's been a while since she was able to chill and kick back with her roommate, what with how busy she's been (and how some criminal has found her address, somehow. it's still going to concern her to some degree). she needed a way to destress and chill, and what better way than to turn on the smart television to pull up a kdrama? so with remote in hand, she starts to stroll through. [break][break]

her body is laid on the couch, head hanging from the seat as her legs are lifted over the backrest. locks of dark maroon fall to the wooden floor, and a bit of it is being pawed at by a shinx, followed by a curious rockruff. it's a miracle that her glasses haven't fallen off her face. a blessing, really. "ooooone secoooond!" she calls out, clicking through the shows before she stops at a fun one. about a mafia man and a lawyer lady. [break][break]

"pulled it up! whenever you're ready--" she's about to roll back up, only to pause as an eevee makes her way to sit upon the trainer's stomach. "-- ... or not, because she made my belly her home. help. i'm stuck." [break][break]

and she can't get up.

she shrinks, just a little. her sweet tooth will be the bane of her. "and i was gonna get that for dessert, anyways.." she grumbles, still, she doesn't exactly knows what she wants to get. it's not every day she goes to a fall faire, and it's even less days where she gets to go on a date (since her last disaster of a relationship, at least). you can't blame her for being skeptical. [break][break]

"what are you thinking of getting?" she peeks a little over the menu. initially it's to keep an eye on them. in a few moments, it turns into her absentmindedly admiring him while he isn't giving her such a hateful grin.

tonight's a good night to go camping. [break][break]

she thinks so, at least. there's a nice place to set up, so she's already prepping it. she's thankfully had her pokemon set up the tent for her, while a few others went ahead with the fire. much as she loves camping.. actual camping isn't too viable for her, especially when she just wanted to enjoy nature. [break][break]

hence the tent, and the sleeping bag. [break][break]

she was just about to start a fire for dinner - until the scent of some good food wafted in the air. fiora's not the only one who noticed; her yamper did, too, and immediately started sniffing the air, then ran off to try and find the source. so, fiora does what every good trainer should do; she chases the yamper. [break][break]

and when she goes though the shrubbery, she finds the electric canine barking up, jumping and wagging his rear with his lightning bolt tail in the air. "yamyam!" she calls out, trying to catch the dog's attention. "i'm so sorry for disturbing you--" she says immediately, to the man who seemed to be cooking the wonderful food.

"OH MY GOD--" the trainer is yelling, from not too far behind, just as the little rockruff latches onto his place. his place on the man's ankle. "drop his leg, boy! drop it!" she shouts in a sterner tone, which causes the playful canine to gently let go of the man's leg, and scamper back to the trainer like.. he did no wrong. [break][break]

"oh god-" she huffs at the rockruff who runs up to her, tail wagging. but now's not the time to deal with a hyperactive rockruff. quickly, she recalls him back into the pokeball, then glancing up at the man who for the short end of the stick. [break][break]

.. still, there was something that was funny about this. i mean, hearing the sudden cursing was amusing in it's own right. "i'm so, so sorry--" she stifles in a chuckle, from both amusement and anxiety "are you okay? he doesn't usually bite people." don't laugh, fiora. don't fucking laugh.
