she takes a glance at the one he was referring to - ah, that farmer's tan - and her response? just a shake of her head against his feathers, flippers lifting up in a persistent, annoying attempt to hum and whistle at him. in contrast to the frustrated disgust, the water songstress only pouts. "no!" she huffs, once again, attempting to push his feathers and wings down "it's only a little humming! or hooting! it's such a shame since you have such a nice voice!"

but the image of an own pokemon trying to keep his wings away from a siren pokemon? that was certainly a sight to behold. still, no matter how he may try to raise his wings over his head, and no matter how he squawks at her, she only wears a brighter smile as she aggressively bounces her way over to the avian pokemon. "and i will argue that you don't know until you try it!" she's so persistent, glazing over his attempts to push her away. so she claps her fins together, with the same airheaded smile she's wore all this time "i'll leave you alone after you doooo!~"

her tone is sharp, biting once again. he's being ridiculous - her? falling for him, of all people? impossible. he's a criminal who decide to swindle others, and she's supposed to be trying to arrest him. this is her way of keeping her tabs on him, even though she knows that he's not dumb enough to leave any tracks. it irritates her to no end, knowing that she could slap the cuffs onto him now and call it a day, but it'd lead to nowhere but a slap on her wrist because she has no evidence. it's irritating, annoying, so very frustrating. another failed attempt to speak with a passing witness, and she sighs. once again, the snake was going to slip through her fingers, and she was going to be left in the dust, one step behind - and at this point, it'd starting to feel like an insult that sat like tangy iron on her tongue. that is, until a voice chirps up not too far from her, called a man with a playful smile. and the woman pauses, eyeing him for but a few moments as his words register. not only his words, but the fact that he was speaking to her, the officer who probably looked like she was running around like a torchic without its head. though that's embarrassing was how he could tell that she was running around, nearly clueless (she's never had to handle this kind of work alone, after all). "oh, yes--" she starts, moving to the man who so casually stays seated. she takes a deep breath "have you seen anyone suspicious come in here, recently?" asides from herself.

she's still wondering how she got here, with him of all people. there were actually plans for her to come to the fall faire with a few other coworkers, and her work partner had thought to invite her - until someone else decided to slide hismerry way over and invite her anyways, and at the god damn station of all places, just when she was about to get off her shift. of course, her colleagues who didn't know that the man was a criminal masquerading as a free man supported this date. with enough peer pressure, she ultimately gives in, and that brings us to now. in another multiverse, she could be spending time with her colleagues. unfortunately, this isn't said universe. so she's sitting here, still wondering what she's done to get herself in this situation (eyes of lilac making contact with the bolder xanthous, and one glance can tell that she isn't as amused as her partner). "i still don't know what you have to achieve by bringing me out here.." she's suspicious for good reason, but she can't look at him too long (loathe she is to admit it, she's finding it harder to look at him with each passing outing). or, no. she didn't mind ghosts. what she didn't like was the dark that came before them. darkness always had a way to blow a shiver up her spine, hence why she had her little pichu to try and keep the area around her lit. ghosts, however, came to a pretty close second. the officer is walking through the cemetery and - though she has no respects to pay in hoenn - stops before a few graves, leaving single flowers over the mounds of dirt. even if she has no one to pay her respects to, that doesn't stop her from coming with a bouquet of flowers with the intention to place on the graves out of courtesy. it's what her father taught her. and she would have carried on peacefully, just fine, kneeling down by another mound to say her prayer until the image of a large, cyclops ghost came out of seemingly nowhere, with hands open and arms stretched out to grab her. her immediate reaction? immediately gasp and yelp a bit, dropping the remaining flowers on the ground as she falls onto her rear. when she realizes just what had come from his abode, and her brows furrow.
