Nervous and her normally don’t mix. Though she has the raging temper of a Tauros, on the outside Abigail is determined to appear placid and lady-like (~~as much as she can stomach it, anyway.~~) Alongside her normal stylist license, she had also been certified to care for Pokemon's grooming needs. Though she had been so used to working with people, she worries slightly that her skills with Pokemon had gotten rusty, but like hell she’ll refuse an offer from a ranch! Big money![break][break]
The sweet smell of flowers wafts through the air as she moves further down the road, enjoying Verdanturf’s beautiful scenery. When she finally approaches the ranch, seeing all the sweet Pokemon out and about, her heart melts. The blond grins, clinging her supply bag closer to her as she walks toward the gates.[break][break]
“Aw! Aren’t y’all just the cutest! I can’t wait to take care of all of you.” She croons, orange-gold eyes shimmering at all the cuties lying around in the grass. Not long after, a figure appears next to her (no doubt the owner) and she wears her friendliest smile, though, it dampens slightly when she notices that the guy is looking at her a bit.. Perplexed?[break][break]
She blinks. Brows furrowed.[break][break]
“Uh. Is everything okay?”[break][break]

There were certain jobs that required outside help to complete. Grooming some of the Pokemon around the Ranch was one of them. These days, Thomas was too busy with his new line of work to personally attend to the grooming of his many Pokemon, and he couldn't find a dedicated groomer to keep around.

The Pokemon that would greet Abigail all did so cheerfully. In particular, the Arcanine would recognize her scent quickly. The large Pokemon approached her, sniffing her, before immediately giving her a big, affectionate lick. She might not know it immediately, but Rufus, who she last saw as a Growlithe, still remembered her fondly.

Under the guise of Daisuke Hayashi, Thomas was checking on his Gracedia Seed, with Pulse at his side. He would spot a familiar face approaching the Ranch. Despite all his years apart, he recognized her voice. He couldn't help but approach her.

"Amber, that you?", Thomas croaked out. He would take out the cosmetic contacts from his eyes, revealing their natural green color to her.

Arcanine towers over her but there’s not a trace of fear in Abigail’s eyes. Rather, she graciously accepts the hug with open arms, her laughter infectious as the big fluffy dog showers her in affection. In truth it felt very reminiscent of a little Growlithe she once knew. Her hands rub lovingly at the dog’s sides. [break][break]
“Золотце! Goodness… you remind me of lil’ Ru-Ru..”[break][break]
Ironically enough, the realization of who this Pokemon was this her faster than the man in front of her. The nickname, those bright green eyes. She gasps, still (impressively, at that) holding up the Arcaine in her arms. [break][break]
“Thomas?” She closes her agape mouth, gently gesturing the Arcanine off before approaching him. Now that she gets a closer look, despite the clear appearance changes, it was him! [break][break]
“It is you! Wait… Aw, you cut your hair?” She pouts, clear disappointment in her voice she wanted to be the one to cut it. Her hand briefly touches the top of his head, before retracting it back to her side, carefully tucked under her chin in thought.[break][break]
“Wait a minute, is this your ranch then?”[break][break]

The Arcanine barked excitedly, upon being recognized by the blonde. Despite having gotten so much bigger, thanks to evolution, his personality hadn't changed. He was still that affectionate puppy he always was.

"I guess you could say I was desperate.", he half-joked.

"Yeah, I got it after I resigned from the International Police. City life just wasn't cutting it anymore.", he'd tell her.

An Audino, who held an Eevee in her arms, approached the blonde. Normally, she was shy around people, preferring to hide behind either Thomas, or one of the larger Pokemon. But since Thomas and Rufus seemed to know this woman, Bunni approached her carefully, a smile on her face.

"This little cutie here is Bunni. She's a bit shy, but she's a total sweetheart.", he'd tell her. "And the little guy in her arms is Gene.", he'd continue, clearly gushing over the two adorable Pokemon.

For a man with such a rough exterior and background, the way he gushes over his Pokemon, living out his days in the countryside, kind of amuses her. Although, her expression suggests otherwise being drawn blank. It had been years since they last saw each other. Does she bother to ask questions? Let it be?[break][break]
Her attention shifts to the Audino and the Eevee in her arms. Abigail smiles now, settling to focus on what’s in front of her. [break][break]
“Hello, Bunni and Gene. It’s a pleasure to meet you both. I hope we can get along.~” She speaks sweetly, whilst her golden eyes soften at the sight of the two cuties. Abigail then straightens her posture, looking toward Thomas with the same friendly demeanor. Seems like she’s not as angry and stoic as she used to be.. [break][break]
“Well it seems like you have a lot to catch me up on, but we’ll save it for another time. Kay? Now, what Pokemon need grooming?” The blond pauses, looking out toward the beautiful green ranch to gauge its size. Hm..[break][break]
She brushes her hand through the lovable Arcaine’s fur. [break][break]
“And if you needed someone permanent for the job well, I can think about it.”

The Audino and the Eevee let out friendly little cries. Bunni looked to the Eevee, who climbed on top of her head. The Audino would hold out one of her feelers, holding it out towards the woman. She was gonna ask before trying to feel her heartbeat.

Before Thomas could answer, a Clefable and a Shinx would be the first to step up. Kim and Pryde, who otherwise looked as well cared for as the others on the Ranch, clearly looked like they could use some grooming. As the Arcanine felt familiar hands brush through his fir, the big puppy would look at her with excited, lovable eyes, his tail wagging excitedly.

"I'll certainly keep you in mind, Amber.", Thomas told her, somewhat playfully. "After all, I know how good you are with Pokemon, so I know I can trust you to handle them right.", he'd continue, sincerely.

“I’m one of the best.” She quips back, lowering down to give the Shinx and Clefable a little love, also a general assessment of her own. Her expression then softens. “Therefore, your Pokemon are in good hands with me.”[break][break]
It’s amazing just how the span of time can change just about everything. Before, she had only entertained hair styling as a career. A troubled teen struggling to keep her record clean with no other outlet. Though she generally looked the same, Abigail's changed a lot since Thomas last saw her. [break][break]
“Alright. I can do just about everything. From baths, hair trims, to clipping their nails. I can already tell this little Shinx needs a touchup in that department. Hm?"[break][break]
The blond looks towards the blue cub, smiling softly. “Just show me where I'll be working, also —” Abigail taps a hand to his shoulder, bats her lashes while smirking. “Since I’m not just “anybody” from a flier, I can expect a nice tip later for my hard work?”[break][break]
Yep. Still a hustler at heart. [break][break]

Thomas smiled as she showed the Clefable and Shinx some love. It was adorable to watch her dote on the cute Pokemon.

"Right this way.", he'd tell her. He would lead her to the area where he would do the grooming, or at least the people he hired out would groom the Pokemon. The area itself was well equipped for the task, with any tools she'd need at her disposal, all of high quality. Nothing but the best for his little ones, after all.

"You know I'm good for it.", he'd tell her with a chuckle. Some things never change. Not that he'd dare short change the people he trusted to get a job done.

The grooming area was very well equipped. While It's more professional (in her own logic) to bring her own tools, Abigail might just cave and use what’s available to her. It’s an impressive selection, after all. She’s been gifted with montrousous amounts of restraint to hold back her excitement, but the shimmer in her amber gold eyes gives away her emotions quite easily.[break][break]
“Oh? How Generous! Thank you, Thomas.” His response earns him a genuine giggle, girly and sugary sweet, which many would say is the complete opposite of her. [break][break]
Abigail wastes no time in getting to work, sweetly gesturing for the Shinx and Clefable to come closer, along with any Pokemon who were due for a grooming. Grabbing a spare hair tie from her pocket, she quickly puts her long dark blond locks into a ponytail. Makes it easier to work this way. [break][break]
“I won’t find it rude if you need to be elsewhere while I work. Though stay a bit just in case I have some questions, alright? It’s my first time here, after all.”[break][break]
Truthfully, she had none.. She just missed seeing his face. [break][break]
