Robbery....

Out of all the illegal activities he had committed over his time at rocket and ANVIL, robbery had to be the item Felix was the least experienced with. Yet, for whatever reason, Rocket decided to pull out his name for what? A robbery related job.

Fine.

Air cool as the ocean, Felix rode his staraptor through the night, diving down once the targeted destination came into sight. Slipping off from the predator Pokémon, he cautiously shifted through the darkness. Soon, the shape of another man came into sight.

"Yeah." He muttered, dull eyes set onto his partner. "Cross, right? Got any suggestions?"

Felix's eyebrow slightly raised at the sound of the other's name. Jayden. Did he know another Jayden? For whatever reason, a lingering sense of familiarity clouded his thoughts for more than a few seconds, before fluttering away.

Taking a few steps forward, the glimmering outline of a feminine silhouette soon became visible behind him. It cautiously trailed close behind the large man, keeping to his shadow, gaze averted downward. When inspected more closely, one would come to find that this meek figure is a blue Gardevoir.

"No." Felix promptly answered, back pressed against the opposite side of the alleyway. "It's been awhile, though."

He beckoned the Gardevoir forward, then reached out his hand towards her, fingers outstretched and palm facing upward. In response, she gingerly handed him a rolled up piece of paper, to which he immediately accepted. He flattened it against the ground between them. "I managed to buy out a blueprint of the place." He explained, glancing up towards jayden cross. "Our target should be here." His finger pointed towards the center of the blueprint, right behind the general viewing area. "I suggest breaching their security through the back-side entrance, but," Again, he glanced back up towards the other. This time, however, his gaze remained stuck onto him, "It's been a while since I've done this. So if you have any suggestions, I'd like to hear them."

A dragapult, huh? Felix gave the ghastly pokemon a short stare as it easily spat out a portal for them to venture into. It was a useful tool to have, he had thought, and reminded himself of his own desire to capture a similar Pokemon.

"Be careful," He whispered to his Gardevoir, stern with care. Gallade would kick his ass if he allowed her to get hurt. With words of caution flatly stated, he held out a hand to the pokemon, then went and grabbed jayden cross 's. Soon, the group was able to fall into the portal, instantly transversing to the insides of the storage room. The actual transporting itself felt strange-- like his organs were flipping in on themselves, becoming bags of twisted flesh. It wasn't a terrible feeling.

When they finally settled into their new reality, Felix took a moment to readjust himself before looking at Jayden. With a hushed voice, he asked, "Can your Dragapult scout out the area?"

Observant eyes peered down at Jayden, carefully watching as he pressed his ear against the cool door. When he pulled away, Felix nodded.

Footsteps...

It made sense, given the time of day, and was only expected to pick up.

"Good enough," He answered, gruffly. Inching forward, the skilled mercenary took the place of Jayden and pressed his own ear against the door.

Tap...tap...tap...

With each click of the heel, Felix tapped his knee, counting, ever-so-slowly. The image of the hallway took shape in his mind, stretching and meshing into a 2D projection that he could precisely pinpoint the audible movement to his right. And, when that said movement made it passed their door...

Silent and deadly, Felix's trained arms swiftly stuck out the door, wrapped themselves around the guard's neck, and pulled him backward into the control room. He tried escaping, of course, but his flailing could not loosen the mercenary's tight grip.

In time, his body would move no longer.

With an easy lift, Felix slugged the unconscious over his shoulder and carried it to the storeroom. A solid thud could be heard as he roughly dropped the body in its closet, followed by a series of soft footsteps as he returned back to the fellow rocket.

"hm?" His eyebrow raised with confusion. "Around a year ago. I came in with ANVIL."

The answer came with the assumption that Jayden recognized his company's name or the fact that Rocket even associated with the underground mercenary corps.

"...How about you?"

Jayden Cross. The familiar name could still be felt on the back of his tongue, stuck on like an insistent piece of taffy. Where did he hear it from again?

"the area's clear. let's go."

That was all he needed to hear. Reaching into his back pocket, Felix pulled out a regular black mask, hung it up from behind his ears, then followed Jayden out of the storage room. Together, they zipped down the corridors, with Jayden acting as their guide and Felix acting as their defensive shield. Both Felix and Gardevoir's eyes were trained on their surroundings, ensuring no possible countermeasures could be taken from their rear.

Soon enough they were at their target: a stowed away pokemon that could notably impact Rocket's current reach of power. Again, while Jayden fiddled at the door, Felix kept watch of their surroundings, only waiting for the satisfying pop of the lock failing to withhold its grip.

They both stepped inside, cautious. And what did they see?

A furry white fox-looking pokemon dozing away on a soft, plush bed.

"Huh." It wasn't exactly what he had expected, and given the level of security, he at least thought it would be bigger than...this. Closing the door behind him, he glanced over at his partner, then back at the target. "Well, that's it. Gardevoir, pick him up. Make sure he doesn't squirm out." His eyes flicked back over to Jayden. "Can your dragapult pull us out again?"

Shit.

The moment his foot pressed down on the tile, he knew what would come next-- until he didn't. Instead of being sliced open, as he had thought would happen, he was face down on the ground with the weight of another man's body pressed down against his back.

"Yeah." He grunted and slowly slipped himself from below the other. Slow, shaky movements brought Felix back onto his ass. "Thanks for the help."

But, when he looked up to extend his gratitude, his eyes were immediately attracted to the fresh wound that had now graced Jayden's arm. He frowned as a result. "Gardenvoir, come here." Swift, concise commands were then given to the pokemon to stop the wound's bleeding. And, with one heal pulse, it was done.

"...Sorry about that."

All he knew of this man were his clear capabilities, and yet, he couldn't help but feel a sting of embarrassment for his mistake.
