One man's trash is another man's treasure. That cliched saying ran true when it came to Sea Mauville, a facility originally built for the purpose of extracting energy and natural resources from Hoenn's abundant sea. After the project was cancelled due to poor management and atrocious working conditions, its decrepit husk became a home to many aquatic Pokémon.

Water wasn't the only type occupying this half-submerged platform, though. Ghosts were also known to lurk about. As Andrea wandered the murky, decaying halls where human employees had once worked, she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. O-o-o-oooh, spooky...

While the project to restore Sea Mauville and turn it into a marine research facility wasn’t exactly common knowledge, certain progress had already been made despite encountering unexpected difficulties along the way. Mostly, these came in the form of the pokémon that called the vicinities of the abandoned underwater structure their home – pokémon Rocket grunts had been ordered to deal with by their superiors.

Ceri may spend most of her time at the labs and have been promoted to researcher recently, but in the end, she is no more than a grunt, and as such, is begrudgingly that she finds herself standing on Sea Mauville despite her tendency towards sea sickness.

Thankfully, the structure doesn’t move with the water, at least not too much.

"Eeeek!" A sharp cry escaped Andrea's lips as another woman popped up from behind a pillar, giving the draconic cosplayer quite the fright. "I'm doing alright... I'm Ghost-hunting, what about you?" She explained after getting a few seconds to catch her breath.

Before the brunette would have a chance to answer that query, a ray of light seeped in through one of the cracks in the ceiling, illuminating a certain teacup-shaped Pokémon like it was the second coming of Arceus. Nay, this wasn't a mere teacup... It was the holy grail itself!

"Go, Sandy!" The dragon-costumed girl cried out, sending her Tyranitar to do battle with this holy gift from the heavens. The Sinistea proved to be faster than the large, bipedal lizard, draining Sandy's health with a Mega Drain. A wide smirk spread across Andrea's countenance. "Payback!" She ordered. Sandy then struck the tiny Ghost type with a darkness-infused fist, sending it flying.

Before the Sinistea could drop on the floor and damage its priceless ceramic body, Andrea threw a Pokéball at it, her heart racing for reasons she could not fully comprehend.
