it has been an eventful evening, to say the least, and it's one that he wishes would last a bit longer.[break][break]

so, after birthday cakes and a couple of drinks, he decides to lead them down to the beach for a late-night walk. it's by sheer chance that there are glowing flowers sprouted across the beach and in the water, making the scene quite romantic.[break][break]

Abigail walks with her heels in hand as they stroll down the beach. Because of that she lost a bit of height, making the difference between them a bit more noticeable though she really doesn’t mind. [break][break]

Pink and blue hues reflect off her flushed face making clear purple streaks. Her heart thumps at the sight of crystablooms submerged in the sand and water. Hoenn is a mysterious place, that’s for sure. Abigail turns to James, smiling while going to grab hold of his hand, squeezing it. [break][break]

james has been thinking about holding her hand all night. the shy boy never made a move, however, so bless abigail for taking the initiative to reach out for his hand.[break][break]

again, for the ninth time tonight, he flushes, nodding before pulling her towards the water.[break][break]

"there's still a lot we don't know about crystablooms."[break][break]

he places his shoes on a dry bit of land before approaching the edge of the water. water laps against his ankles as he takes further steps in, stopping in shallow waters to point down at one of the crystablooms.[break][break]

"they grow both on land and in both fresh and salt water. it's quite odd, really!"

Abigail’s first step in the water nearly makes her squeal, but she stiffles it down to a tiny squeak. Growing up in the city, she never had much experience in going to beaches. So all of this is a first for her.[break][break]
“Wow. For being so beautiful they’re quite versatile, aren’t they?”[break][break]
As they reach the shallower end water ends up going slightly past her ankles (good thing she decided on the shorter dress after all, it pays off to be bold.)[break][break]
She could almost touch one.. but she stops herself.[break][break]
“Is it alright to touch them, or should I let them be?”[break][break]

there's a sense of innocence and wonder behind her question that he just adores. wishes he could experience more of.[break][break]

deciding to be bold, he reaches for her hand again to guide her into the water and towards one of the many glowing flowers. the tips of her fingers brush against a petal, glistening.[break][break]

His hand guides hers, which honestly surprises her but it’s a pleasant one nonetheless. As her fingers graze against the petals the flower glows and a short burst of sparkling dust flies through the air.[break][break]
Needless to say her gold eyes twinkle, amazed by the sight. [break][break]
“Oh wow.. It’s soft.”[break][break]
She turns to James, letting her fingers trail down his cheek, before tenderly pressing their lips together. She giggles. [break][break]

As they kiss she shuts her eyes. The sound of the water and wind mesh together beautifully in her ears, really, she couldn't paint a prettier picture if she tried. [break][break]
