blessed be that the corsola are almost back to where they're supposed to be. the time felt like it passed too slowly, although she has to admit that she'll miss being able to float peacefully like this - even if it was with the assitance of a life vest. "mhm, a very long story~" she chimes "so it's best to save it for another day. when i'm not busy, perhaps~." and that wouldn't be any day soon. [break][break]

the woman sighs softly, arching her back so she can bring her legs back under the water. she has both hands against the side of the boat, but hesitates to pull herself back up. she pensively eyes the water, then tilts her head to a man who's still casually lounging. [break][break]

"... could you call pisces?" she raises a hand to point downwards, into the water "i'd try getting up myself, but i don't want to tilt the boat and bring you down here with me~"

He blinked before smiling and chuckling softly.[break][break]

”Huh. Considerate of you~.” He eyed her before nodding and sitting up properly, briefly getting up to gaze across the waters. Lifting his hand up to his lips, he blew against his fingers before calling out the serpent’s name, tilting his head up at the sight of the aforementioned beast as he emerged some ways away.[break][break]

”Mind giving Mari a hand~?” he asked with a smile that only brightened as the Gyrados let out a roar, briefly submerged himself for all of a moment before breaking the surface beneath the nurse, propping and lifting her up atop his head.

"i don't know what you're talking about." she hums, eyes closed with a smile as she's lifted by the gyrados. her hand gently strokes the top of his head, and she smiles as she slides off. "thank you, pisces." she says to the serpent as he lets her off his back. she spend the next little bit wringing the water out of her hair, and her corsola appears above the water shortly afterwards. [break][break]

and mari leans over, picking up the ghost pokemon to seat her in her lap. "you did a good job too, carci." she coos softly, and for the first time this boat ride, she's smiling softly, warmly, to the corsola. [break][break]

finally she opts to lean back and lounge in the boat, allowing the waves to carry the the rest of the way. the job should be done now, anyways. all that's left is to get paid, and she can go back home to studying. [break][break]

.. but maybe she'll take his advice and go out to the sea again, sometime.
