kyle had been one of the people who woke up that night. while he tells himself to think little of the disturbance, he still had checked in the middle of the night. unsurprisingly, he found nothing.

by the next day, he finds himself distracted by thoughts of the previous day.

dividing labor meant breaking up the group. kyle says goodbye to ollie morales when he notices him approach someone else. upon identifying that person as Eva Morales, kyle decided to snatch up her boyfriend and diverge away.

"how many berries would that need?" he asks MATIAS SILPH, popping out of nowhere to join his conversation with virizion.

he turns to Thomas Benoit, finding him in the area as well. "oh, hey. benoit's here too? didn't know you two were close."

a growl comes as his shadow manectric eyes the pokemon working on the bridge. kyle quickly shoves a hand in his cargo shorts pockets and takes a piece of fruit, throwing it up in the air for the electric-type to catch as if it's a trick. for a while, it distracts the beast.

in his defense, they were already on the ground when he found them while trying to stop his unruly pokemon from disturbing the wildlife.
