Caden seems just as surprised as she was with the realization. When he turns to look at her, she turns as well to meet his gaze. The way the light reflects off depths of his eyes is alluring. Has he always been this captivating?

Although she releases the pressure of her squeeze, her touch lingers there on his arm. Perhaps a bit longer than it should. Her fingers lightly trail down his skin as her hand falls away. Typically, she takes what she wants but this is Caden, not some horny guy at the bar she’d happily take advantage of.

Toni smothers any urges beneath a sly grin, “Don’t get too excited, Caden,” she jokes, “I never said for how long,” though she did intend for it to be quite some time. As long as she had good business here, forever perhaps. She won’t admit it, though.

he props an elbow onto the side of the tub, leaning into his hand as he gazes at his best friend.

[break][break] "aw," he pouts. "here you go - getting me all excited for nothing."

[break][break] the heated pool continues to bubble before them, a comfort for the long day that he's had. he's lucky to have such a person like Antoinette Spina in his life — so much so that he never wanted anything to dash it.

[break][break] yet, these days, he feels almost wanting for it.

[break][break] wanting something to break, to destroy, to ignore the feelings that build up inside of him.

All Toni can do is smile, keeping the grin curled over her lips as Caden pouts. It’s too cute.

“You know how I like to tease,” tease her prey before she goes in for the kill. The buildup makes it that much more fun and exhilarating. Theirs has been threatening to boil over for years. Even now she can feel her heart rate rise as his thumb rubs softly against the back her of hand. It feels too intimate, but she allows herself to enjoy the sensation that ripples across her.

“I’m trying something new. If I don’t like it, I can always leave. It’s not like I’m bound to this place,” although she really couldn’t leave since Hoenn was boxed in by an invisible barrier.

Toni turns her body to face him, propping her own elbow beside his outside of the hot tub, the water barely covering her chest, “Haven’t you always wanted to try something new?”

[break][break] his voice is low, and his gaze heated, as he holds Antoinette Spina's gaze. their friendship has always been something that he's treasured and never questioned. he knows that part of it all is the dance that they share, that they've been dancing for the last decade.

[break][break] like a bubble threatening to pop, caden is careful to skirt around it.

[break][break] but oh would it be so tantalizing to lead them to ruin.

[break][break] "i have." he props an elbow on the hot tub's side, to mirror her, and runs his fingers down the extend of her wrist and lower arm. nothing that he hasn't done before — well, clothed. now... it felt a little different. it scares him a little bit, but not enough to run away.

[break][break] "it's thrilling, isn't it?" he murmurs. "to chase something new?"

[break][break] "is that why you're a bounty hunter? the thrill of the chase?"

A decade of dancing can grow tiresome, even without one realizing it. There’s only so many dances they complete without stepping on the other’s toes. Perhaps it’s time to step.

He’s being particularly alluring tonight. The way his gentle touch tickled her skin rose goosebumps to the surface despite the smoldering heat of the hot tub. She hums, a purr-like gesture that draws her even closer to him. He’s touched her before, but never quite like this.

A nod is really all he gets as a response. The chase is thrilling, that’s exactly why she’s a hunter, not the prey. It’s what drives her to crawl closer, shifting beneath the water until their legs brushed against each other. There’s a sparkle of her predatory side shinning in her dark eyes, accentuated by the mischievous smile curling at the corner of her lips.

“I take what is mine,” and that’s exactly what she does. Before she can think twice about this potential catastrophic decision, she closes the small space between them to take his lips with hers. Toni doesn’t really give him much fo a choice. She slides across the bench to straddle him, lacing her fingers into his dark curls to deepen the kiss.

Toni didn’t expect Caden to resist, but she still found it surprising when he so easily let their friendship evolve into something more intimate. Really, just about as intimate as one could get. He already knew her on a level that nearly no one, not even her family, could reach. He understood her, saw her for more than the façade she puts on.

It’s too easy to melt into him. A shiver runs up her spine as his hands do. He welcomes her and whatever consequences this may bring. They both deepen the kiss, Toni’s passion growing with every shift of her hips against his. She’s aggressive, demanding, desperate for his love, if just for one night.

Her fingernails rake through his hair, taking a fistful into each palm. A small whisper of regret for tearing down the barrier between them tickles the back of her mind. She scares it away with a delicate moan against his lips. She rises and falls, moving to make him hers before logic can creep in and ruin such a perfect moment.
