like before, king walks into the small arena in his bandaged disguise, his gait the very essence of relaxed. at his side, lucario's aura sensing appendages rise and fall lazily, as if carried in the wind. using them, he senses his opponent well before he sees it. the jackal frowns.

"hm, this is the guy who got a bye week, ye?" there's nothing more to his question on a surface level, but the intent is clear

he, like his lucario, was unimpressed.

taking center stage, lucario stands rather relaxedly, his arms at his side. still, however, his aura senses poke, and prod.

It was unfortunate that he hadn't gotten to properly warm up in the first match, but good fortune often befell those who were seemingly undeserving of it. So as he waited in the arena for his opponent he took stock of just how much the ring looked like a place for some back alley fights rather than an actual tournament. He wondered if that was the feel the showrunner was going for. With his partner Tismet waiting patiently for the other pair to arrive so they could, Amor simply observed his surroundings. This was nothing like the hectic battles of last summer.

Though his thoughts were interrupted with a heavily bandaged male, and his Lucario approached. They didn't seem keen on conversing much, and Tismet was eager to get started.

"Well then let us get started. Tismet Fire Punch!" He commanded his dragon as it rushed forward with a fist full of flame to smash into their enemy.

lucaio watches his opponent approach, their scaled hide clattering and ringing. it was an impressive creature, and surprisingly limber, despite its size; KING WAYLAND had arranged sparring matches between both him, and his own kommo-o on many occasions.

those occasions would no different than this one.

raising one steeled forearm up, xen catches the FIRE FIST against it. he grunts beneath the pain of the impact, and the ensuing fire that singes his fur, but gives nothing else to his opponent.

in his free hand, silver light coalesces and builds before lashing out with a METEOR MASH in the direction of the bipedal serpents midsection.

The impact of his Fire Punch fell flat, as his opponent launched the glowing fist to his stomach. Knocking the wind out of him momentarily as he stumbled back. Wiping the slight drool from his lips as he looked upon the Lucario, igniting both of his fists once more, he rushed in to meet his opponent. There had to be stronger opponents above this one, and thus he didn't want to get knocked out of the tournament so soon. His opponent was smaller, and potentially quicker than him. So with his own speed he let his blazing fists rain down upon the Lucario.

Was this a desperate attack, or something more? Amor had no clue what was going on in Tismet's mind, but he knew how much the dragon had trained ever since he had suffered a loss at the hands of John Sullivan's Ledian. Learning new moves, and attempting to shore up his own short comings. But would the fruits of that training shine here, or would they fall flat? Amor watched on as the furious assault continued to pick up, with the Fire Punch seeming to burn hotter with each strike.

electricity cackles and sparks off the dragon's fist, and lucario narrows his eyes in annoyance.[break][break] as it goes on the offensive yet again, lucario dodges the fist, stepping beneath and inside the dragon's shadow, and begins another barrage of fists and kicks at its sternum.

Fiery fists, colliding with steely ones as the Lucario unleashed a Close Combat, and both pokemon were pounding away at each other. Making up for that earlier start Tismet's spirit was starting to burn up with his opponents. Whether the Lucario was taking him seriously or not was of little cosequence. There was only the desire to win, and advance, and perhaps if his rival was in this tournament go for a rematch. With a growl from his maw the fire on his fists died, only to be replaced by electricity as his assault continued renewed!

If it was a punch out that he wanted, then it was one that he would get. As the Lucario aimed one fist after the other with it's speed growing rapidly, Tismet's own speed would would grow as well as the electricity died, and he would match each punch that the Lucario put on him. Close Combat was met with Close Combat as the two of them decided to leave it out on the mat for everyone to see. As the Steel type aimed for the scales on his chest he was aiming for his opponents face in an attempt to end this once, and for all.

Aura Sphere was met with scales that glittered with a metallic sheen as Tismet rushed forward towards his opponent who was trying to create distance between the two of them. Both of his fists lit up with fire once more, and he began to pound into the Lucario with Fire Punch after Fire Punch. With the momentum slowly swinging back into his favor he wasn't going to let up. No matter how exhausted he felt, how sore his muscles were getting, the bruises that had undoubtedly formed on his body from this clash. He kept pushing forward with all of his might.

when the sphere of aura leaves his hand, the iris's of the jackal pokemon light up expectantly. as the dragon lumbers over, its hulking form ready to begin the assault a new, echoes of its strike enter lucario's perception.

with ease, and using the slightest bit of effort possible to conserve energy, he DETECTS each attack, narrowly avoiding it. if it was a battle of attrition — he'd win the day.

As his opponent was narrowly dodging each of his strikes, the fury was bubbling underneath his scales as he kept up the assault. All the sweat, and blood he poured into his training at home would not be for naught against this opponent. Keeping his fists alight with fire he continued to try, and smash into his opponent. Shaking his fatigue off he continued on, because there was an opponent he wanted to reach, and this current one stood in his way. So giving it his all he waited for the moment the Lucario would slip up.
