The balmy summer heat cradled the two's faces as splashes of magenta, periwinkle, and blue faded from the sky. When Mars had called, Felix hadn't expected it'd be to take him out here. Ever since his recruitment, there hadn't been many times when their paths would cross, as one would notably be occupied by his administrative duties while Felix, well, that was a whole other can of worms.

Stealing a sidelong glimpse of the man's face, he couldn't resist the urge to think back on the time they've spent together back in Sinnoh. His words further beckoned forward that nostalgic feeling of being back there, on that green-clipped field, pigskin in sight, doing his best to defend this very man's backside as defenders plowed forward.

"Yeah."

But that was then, and this was now. As they say: time's arrow marches forward.

Turning, Felix's gaze traveled back down to the crater that nearly became his grave. The tree of life. Rocket's operations with that ancient thing had been far from his reach as a grunt, and even now, as an admin, there was much left opaque.

"I do," He admitted. As someone who spent his entire career honing his skills to protect, to defend, such a serious breach of security was bound to draw up a few questions. "Was the breach discovered?"

Inability was the catalyst for failure. Whether intentional or not, this breach acted as a symptom of an underlying problem within the organization's security. A problem that now fell on his lap to solve.

Brows furrowing, the man casted his gaze over the pillars of brown and green, lost in thought. If it were him, where would he start? What would he change? Idle fingers tapped at the PokeBall stowed in his pocket. Soon, an arc of red flashed out from it, bringing out his Garchomp. The pokemon let out a low growl before slinking off to the surrounding shrubbery.

"Any plans for the future then? With Sootopolis." Felix hadn't had the time to look over the files completely, but even if it wasn't concrete, he knew there had to be something up their sleeves. This was Martín del Mar , after all.

From there, rustling broke out below. Garchomp had caught another pokemon. Frowning, Felix threw down a ball, attempting to capture the wounded Reuniclus.

Small nods follow each point presented, from the heightened security to the possibility of adding some level of anti teleportation to the guarded city.

"Anti teleportation, huh." He couldn't help the small chuckle from escaping the ends of his lips. "You're as bold as ever."

Anti teleportation wouldn't be impossible -- nothing truly was -- but it would take a loads worth of man power. Countless supervision, several shifts, hours worth of labor planning. It was all within the organization's means, but without experience, there would be a hell of a learning curve to achieve natural efficiency. Unless "We could source those operations to ANVIL."

When did it become we, and not them.

"They're capable enough. I can help, too, of course."

It was wise to remain cynical of others. One mole was all it took to blow up an entire operation, or worse, an entire organization. But, just as it was an underbosses' responsibility to remain critical, it was his to provide solutions, and suggestions to ongoing problems they were facing within an area he'd spent almost a decade working in.

The ghoulish eyes of Martín del Mar ' dragapult go unnoticed as he continued to walk forward, close beside his superior. Dull eyes flicked to his right, down to the tree line, where shadows slipped between the outstretched branches. "Well enough." He moved to return his gaze back onto the underboss. "I'm still catching up with the paperwork, but it's nothing I'm not used to." Years working under ANVIL had trained him well for the mundanity of administrative work, especially when it came to delegation and grunt work. What it didn't prepare him for, however, was the social aspect of the position. Not that he would willingly mention that part, though.
