Surfing, deep sea diving, FISHING -- whoever crafted this year's splash fest certainly had the tendency to go big or go home. It was a quality Penelope would've applauded, had it not been for the extreme level of exhaustion these activities brought onto her.

A soft giggle lifted from her chest as they approached the leftover running stalls and vendors. Each one catered to a different specific food type or shop, some selling takoyaki, and others printed t shirts.

Penelope's heart still fluttered whenever Cian said sappy shit like that. Sometimes, it still amazed her that they were together - that he was hers. But, that might've been her own inner insecurities showing.

"So no dunk tank, got it." Small tugs pull them towards the food stall, where the aroma of fresh takoyaki wafted toward them, curling around their bodies and beckoning them forward. It didn't take much struggling for Penelope to force themselves to the front of the crowd clumping up around the stall. Leaning forward, she ordered them two boats, and paid with the tap of her phone.

With the steaming bundle of octopus in her hands, she jutted her chin forward, gesturing Cian toward the group of picnic tables nearby -- the perfect place to rest up. She took her seat with a small grunt.

Smiling, she plucked the first one up with the wooden tooth pick, gave it a generous blow, then offered it to Cian's lips. "Consolation for your shitty week."

She raised her hands in defeat, light laughs still lifting up from her chest. With idle movements, her hand reached for another takoyaki ball, stabbing it, grabbing it, and plopping it into her mouth.

Frankly, she had already managed to dig up some of his supportive posts, liking each one on her spare account. It was cute how much he supported her -- how much he cared about her.

"Yeah." It was strange for her, too. One second she was hidden behind the camera, and the next? Important meetings began piling up her calendar, clogging up her availability with both the highs and lows of Hoenn. It wasn't too far off from her current job, with the only difference being the fact that the cameras were now pointed AT her.

"It sucks that I'll probably be busier from now on..." Her voice trailed off, unsure where to go. Eventually, it found itself, but only barely. "It should be fine, though."
