His gym battle with Greyson Connors had been fucking intense. He'd already skirted danger once now when it came to legendaries, and that gym battle only served to showcase what else lay in that kind of situation. Especially when confronting it alone. It'd shown him he couldn't always rely on others to keep himself afloat.

But aside form that heavy existential crisis, it'd also sort of introduced him to ancient legends he hadn't thought about since his studies about the civilization that revered them. Maybe...maybe Rocket had extra texts, pilfered and stolen from official research facilities unavailable to the public. Then again...why would a crime ring need a library?

How wrong he was. Somehow, somewhere, there was a library- or well an archives room? It's paper. Shelves and boxes of paper, organized like a library. Empty and dusty. Surely some shmuck was in charge of it but he didn't really see anybody. Maybe unmanned or maybe a lunch break. Whatever the case, Mint began to make his way through searching manually through spine after spine for anything on UNOVA or DRAGON stories. It's more to satiate a personal curiosity. His search brings him to a corner that's not very well lit. What more is there's already someone handling the texts he needs. "Uhh...can I get that when you're done..?" he asked as the light flickered above him flashing barely a glance at the only other person in the library on a weekend.

The Harbinger of Heat Death: A Contemporary Investigation of Phenomena in the Giant Chasm shields the admin's face from the other almost as well as his fox mask would have. He only lowers it upon the table he's sitting by when he's spoken to. And 'Executive' Remiel Calcifet immediately recognizes mint frost , of course, as they were both a part of S.P.E.C.T.R.A.[break][break]

"Mr. Frost." He says in greeting. "I must say: it's fairly fitting for someone with your surname to be searching for a book such as this." He adds, breaking the nonchalant expression on his face with a hint of a smile as he taps the hardcover and the title upon it. "You have an interest in the entity that was once said to reside in the Giant Chasm then, do you?" Remiel asks, gesturing towards the open seat across from him.[break][break]

Mint's interest had peaked his interest. If they were both researching the same, then perhaps that meant he could pry a bit of information from his subordinate... or acquire a partner in the endeavor. For finding KYUREM, or even simply proving its existence, was not an easy task.[break][break]

"Executive Calcifet!" he perked up, eyes glinting with recognition and flashing a quick smile at the man. "Hehe, well I do specialize in ice types and do better in the cold, cliched as it may be." he said with a shrug. Growing up in a cooler region had definitely left its mark on him. "Yes, I know a little about it but I was curious to do a little more research after encountering it." he paused before clarifying, "Or well- a simulation of it during one of my gym battles."

"Kyurem is an interesting creature, just based on myths alone. And if gods walk among us, it would be good to prepare for it's arrival. As a contingency plan. The meteor being more pertinent and all." he added with a shrug. "But Zekrom hanging around the region feels...kind of like an omen. Especially if you believe its own origin stories. It's going to be a target soon." There's a beat of silence before he lets out a laugh.

"Not that I care that much, I just want to see it in action. Especially after that Groudon and pink dragon stump at Mt. Chimney. Good for my views...what about you?"

Remiel, too, had grown up in what most would call a cold climate. Though, certainly, it did not compare to the cold of the GIANT CHASM. Nor, even, the CROWN TUNDRA, for that matter. Just before he could ask Mint where he hailed from, however, his curiosity was snatched elsewhere. "How interesting..." He remarks. "I may need to experience this simulation for myself some time."[break][break]

He'd have to ask which gym, in particular, had run the simulation. Perhaps it may be of use to S.P.E.C.T.R.A.'s program as well. More importantly, it could prove quite beneficial to preparing himself and ZEKROM towards an encounter in the future. One that he was quite determined to have. One that Mint seemed confident would happen as a result of fate anyway.[break][break]

Speaking of... did Mint not know that he was Zekrom's avatar yet? How curious.

But, before he responds to the inquiry given to him, Remiel first asks: "Views? Are you an entertainer of some sort?"[break][break]

He doesn't usually pry into the business and livelihood of his lesser associates. At least, nothing beyond what his presented to him during their background checks and weekly reports. Mint, however, had so far proven himself more intriguing than the royal had imagined.[break][break]

"As for me, well... I was an archaeologist before I became ambassador. My interest in Kyurem is mostly scientific." But only mostly.[break][break]

"For sure! It's very realistic. I thought it was good training." he said, happy to relay his time during his gym battle with Greyson Connors. He was surprised at the data found as well. Kyurem up close? Wild.

He then snickered and nodded at the Galarian. "Yeah, sorta. I do live streams. My biggest yet during Splashfest with Melody Miro." he explained. "It's hard work, but Rocket has helped supplement my income while I gain traction on the streaming thing." he said wit ha grin.

"Oooh? Yah?? I studied old civilizations but my focus was their art. I was an Art History major." he said with a laugh. "What do wanna know about Kyurem then? I'm just here for the ride. And maybe a superficial bias 'cause of my trainer specialty." he said. "Ice types. Frost. Pretty on the nose huh?"

Livestreams? Remiel knew of the business, but he'd never actually met a content creator before. It was, frankly, surprising to see such an individual in Team Rocket: particularly when the organization valued discretion so highly. One had to wonder whether Mint managed those two worlds as well as Remiel managed his own.[break][break]

"I see..." He mutters in reply. "Melody Miro is friend of mine, actually. I can think of no one better to collaborate with in the entertainment industry than she." Admittedly, the lad hadn't exactly been asking for his approval, but Remiel had given it anyway with a short nod. These days he was used to giving his opinion on a great many things. The embassy treated him like the INFINITY ENERGY of good critique.[break][break]

"I wish to know whether its relation to Reshiram and Zekrom are true," The ambassador answers, tapping a single finger on the book's hardcover. Down the aisle, the librarian wheels around a cart as she puts away other texts. "It is said that the three were once unified as a greater whole: the ORIGINAL DRAGON. And I suppose that touches on my superficial bias as well." He smiles. "My specialty lies in Dragons."[break][break]

"Oooh wow...yeah she seemed nice!" Mint said nodding at the fellow Executive. "I don't know if anything will come from it but if I can keep doing host work like that I think my livestreaming would do way better." he said wit ha small shrug. It's a fun goal and all but...he did work for Rocket. That should be his priority.

"I think myths come from kernels of truth. So Zekrom should be careful." He took a moment to pause before adding, "Then again...maybe it has that kind of sixth sense for Kyurem. Since they're so interrelated."

"That'd be cool to watch. Maybe it'd be classified as another WORLD ENDING event." he added with a small laugh, poking fun at the looming death rock in their orbit. "Wanna collab then? Not that you an get rid of me now." he said, eyes bright as he looked up at the ambassador.

Remiel tilts his head slightly. "You really don't know, do you? Though I suppose you likely keep yourself more preoccupied with Rocket-specific matters than general announcements." He smiles, leaning back in his chair.[break][break]

"I'm Zekrom's avatar, Mr. Frost. And I can't say it feels threatened or has a 'sense' for Kyurem yet... though we're currently partaking in a journey of its own, too."[break][break]

Nevertheless, he accepts the young man's offer with a nod and a chuckle. "Very well then. A little collaboration is sure to open up new and bright opportunities. Only where do you suggest we begin, hm?"[break][break]

He had some ideas of his own, of course: icy temples and former sites of portals. But Remiel was curious where Mint had his own nose pointed. Something told him the lad had a good sense for this sort of thing.[break][break]

"Really?!" Mint blurted out, looking at Remiel with a half smile before backpedaling immensely. "O-Of course I knew that. Tha'ts why I SAID, Zekrom should be careful." he said gesturing at the avatar before clearing his throat and giving a quick laugh to try to move on from his previous blunder. Well, at least now he understood why they were so interested in Kyurem.

"Seriously? That's interesting..." he would've assumed they would at least keep track of each other. Maybe they hadn't been the same creature? No. There could be other reasons as to why Zekrom couldn't sense its other part.

Mint grinned as the offer was accepted, more than happy to come along for the ride. "Well, aside form the mythos and visiting some of Unova's old sites with the murals of Kyurem on them, I think other dragon experts." he said before adding. "There's this huge house in Sootopolis...I think it's owned by the freya morningstar family? According to the plaque anyway. I might go in there if it hasn't been ransacked. But they have all these dragon motifs and- well if anybody knows stuff about dragons it might be the rich people with dragon décor."

Returning to UNOVA was something that the ambassador had already planned. It had been some time since he'd last been there, and he hadn't exactly visited any sites regarding Kyurem when he'd been either. Now, with this new mission in mind, Remiel was excited at the idea of exploring these locales with his newfound companion.

The idea of reaching out to other dragon experts had also been practiced by him prior. His paternal family in KALOS, the noble dragon clan TOUSIGNANT, had little to offer in regard to Kyurem. Even his maternal family in HAMMERLOCKE, renowned dragon hunters for ages, only had myths and legends for him to interpret— nothing he didn't already know after researching Zekrom's history in his nation.

But the local dragon clans...

"I've heard of the MORNINGSTAR family," He admits, pensively rubbing his chin. "Though I've never had the pleasure of meeting any of them personally. If they have history here in Hoenn, however, their input could prove to be quite useful." The royal agrees with a nod, rising from his seat and gently closing his large text shut. "We depart for SOOTOPOLIS now then."

Mint nodded excitedly before blanching for a second. "Wait- right now?!" he asked, touchign his face. He was only wearing a little bit of concealer and some moisturizer. "I mean- sure, let's go jsut- give e 20 mintues to change." he said gesturing at his face and then at Remiel's as well.

"Unless you're ok with going as Remiel Calcifett, Galarian Embassador, and break into an abandoned rich people's estate?" Definitely not. He puts the books he doesn't need away before grabbing the Admin by the arm and dragging him out. He'd have them fixed up in a bit. He had more than enough supplies squirreled away on the sub to get the job done.

Remiel chuckles. "Idle hands are the devil's work and all that, aren't they? If the mansion has been ransacked already I'm sure exploring it won't be such a big deal." Easy to say for an archaeologist, he supposed. Though a recent trip to an abandoned mall with Isaac Merlo also served to enlighten him on another factor. "They call it 'urban exploring' these days, Mint."

When he's finished packing his book and slinging his bag over his shoulder, however, Remiel is suddenly grabbed by the arm and pulled out of the library. He exhales sharply in surprise. "You're the one that needs to prepare, not me." He states, narrowing his eyes on the lad before pulling his arm away. "Now run along. I'll meet you at the docking bay." He adds, straightening the sleeve of his shirt.

"Possibly ransacked." Mint corrected. "That's a pretty way of saying 'breaking and entering'." he said with a snort. It wasn't the act itself that bothered him but he wasn't about to risk putting his face out there for petty crime. Was breaking and entering a misdemeanor? He forgot already.

He turns to look back at his companion, eyeing him for a moment before straightening up. Right, he'd gotten over excited. This wasn't jayden cross after all. Still, something doesn't sit right about the way he wanted to risk drawing attention to himself. "Right." But Mint's needs were different, and so he would gladly prepare. Not to mention, he probably had something useful from Lulu Flint that would help this endeavor.

Breaking and entering were among some of the lowest offenses in Rocket crime, and that was saying something. If teenagers and vagrants did it, then they could likely run the risk with little to no issue. "It's in SOOTOPOLIS anyway, is it? We hold high jurisdiction there, especially if it's an abandoned property." He frankly adds.

Even then, delving into the history of the estate and the family that had once lived within it was important. That likely meant paying a visit to any living relatives to obtain their approval and information. The fact that the endeavour they were undertaking now wasn't exactly 'on the books' meant they could operate as two unaffiliated and eager explorers, which could make that part of their research easier.

So, striding off down the hallways of the submarine and to one of its docking bays therein, Remiel awaits Mint.
