"what do we have here?" [break][break]

they come across an inkay, floating their jolly way down the route. it's so dark, but the bioluminescence of the pokemon makes it bright, and obvious. it's wandering, and it looks lost. [break][break]

a perfect lil prey for her gengar's shenanigans. so she smiles, slightly, to the large pokemon who peeks out just from the shadows. she carefully approaches the inkay, a smile to her lips as she holds a hand out. "are you lost?" honied words have never been so fake when the little pokemon slowly approaches her. it does a little twirl in the air, and she tilts her head as she pats the top of its head. [break][break]

"it's dangerous out here, you know?" she runs her hand along the cap of the jellyfish's head, hearing a soft purr. it's quite a soft one. "why don't you walk with us, so you don't get lost?" it's young, and naive, so it does a little loop in the air with a chime. [break][break]

so she walks with it, the little thing unknowing of the shadow that lurks. it's somewhere down the path where she's tempted to have the gengar attack, only for the inkay to dwindle in the air. mari gently moves the pokemon to her arms, cradling it as it dozes off. "are you sleepy?" she asks, tenderly holding and rocking the little pokemon. after a little while, she sighs and pulls out a pokeball to lightly tap it on the snoring inkay. [break][break]

"it'll be easier to carry you like this." she smiles, gently, lovingly, stroking the pokeball. [break][break]

"so stay put."
