in between fishing, magikarp splashes (or lack therof), and ceremonious diving opportunities, jayden finds himself on the beach along with the rest of the festival goers. the silence of the waves lapping against the shore is a surprising comfort against the normally busy atmosphere of the city.

[break][break] just outside a food stall, jayden finds shade under a sharpedo-themed umbrella. while he's waiting for his meal, he pops open his tablets and reviews the quarter's last earnings.

[break][break] his hisuan zorua stares at his feet, watching the people who loiter past.

the aromatisse that floats towards the h!zorua startles him. it touches noses with him, and the pokemon starts backward with a little squeak.

[break][break] he looks behind him and above to see his trainer focusing on his laptop, typing away at a screen that is mostly numbers and excel sheets. he looks back to see the aromatisse gone.

[break][break] the fox sniffs around the table and follows the AROMATIC SCENT, only to find the pokemon nowhere in sight.

[break][break] he returns back to jayden, sulking.

on his way back to his trainer, however, he sees a mischevious togetic playing tricks on the restaurants patrons.

[break][break] the togepi turns to see the zorua, eliciting a FOLLOW ME.

[break][break] the zorua has no choice at that point — he darts forward towards the pokemon with SHADOW SNEAK. the pokemon slams into the other, causing the shell to roll towards jayden's foot.

[break][break] when he looks down, he blinks, and presses a pokeball to it's shell.
