-Originally she was named Izumi Suzume, but there was already an Izumi in school, so she started switching the name around.

-she is in heavy denial about specializing in ghost type pokemon.

-Her mother, Minami Yamamoto is originally from Sinnoh but moved to Hoenn when she was a kid. She lived in Mauville City for a few years and owned a skitty but the two were kidnapped. Eventually, they were found by Takeru Suzume, a private detective in Hoenn who dealt with kidnappings and strange phenomena but mostly found people. He was originally from Johto and ended up moving to Hoenn as a kid to stay out of trouble, he found his calling when a local neighbor's kid went missing and he saved their life. After he found Minami the two of them became close as Manami became his assistant, eventually they got married years later and had Izumi.

-Izumi didn't meet much of her dad he was always back and forth, but when they did spend time together it was always fun and exciting, as she'd get to play with his pokemon. He'd constantly tell her to not pull on Mightyena's ears, but she did it anyway and always laughed right after. Her dad was an inspiration to her and she loved him dearly, it was hard for him to leave Izumi, but his wife consistently talked about how charming and determined he was. It was hard for him to leave Izumi, but more people continued to go missing as she got older, but he didn't come back home. The two of them lived in Hoenn for years before Izumi's mother moved back home to Sinnoh to start a new life, but Izumi stayed behind to become a detective and find her dad.

-Izumi is clumsy and forgetful, while her appearance is well put together, calm, cool, and collected, she personally feels like a walking mess in a suit. She always has to write down details in a notebook otherwise she'd forget them, and don't forget her crippling fear of the dark, and thunderstorms. She hates humidity and thinks that ice cream pokemon look delicious. She wonders how slowpoke tail tastes and gets seasick easily. She is off on Sundays and Mondays, but Tuesday-Saturday she is open for cases. She has trouble with frigid cold places and loves the colors in fall. Her most redeeming quality is her ability to never surrender, as she has solved every weird case that has come across her phone.

-She specializes in pokemon research investigations, which means people report strange things happening surrounding pokemon, and she solves the cases, studies the pokemon, and implements her findings into a notebook, or her own version of the Pokedex. Each pokemon she's found has been a case she's solved, though Chatot is one that is special to her heart. As she'd gotten a case for a missing child as someone had recommended her father to the parent, and while she explained her father was missing, she helped either way. The Chatot was repeating the child's words, allowing Izumi to find them and bring them home. Izumi found the pokemon to be useful and asked if it wanted to be her partner. The two have since solved many other cases related to pokemon, most of them became the pokemon she loves now, and she wouldn't change it for the world.

Cases: "Mischievous Misdreavus." a pokemon that was tricking people with human sobs, ended up being Izumi's assistant. "Leeching Litwick" dealt with a pokemon that continued to drain smaller pokemon of energy and then leads people into a cave to eat their energy as well. Izumi ended up making a deal with Litwick, if she could beat it in a battle of hiding and seeking then it would have to go home with her. she ended up winning the battle even though it was late at night. While "Positive Pumpkaboo." came into her life while she was lost in a cave, she was so grateful she asked if the pokemon wanted a home, while it refused at first Izumi ended up saving its life later on from a bunch of rude pokemon.
