Despite having plenty of pokemon already in his rooster, the burnt scarred man couldn’t help the temptation to get more. And although there wasn’t any dark types, he had his eye on a few pokemon that were here. Crimson colored orbs shifted to his beloved six foot seven hell hound, watching as her nose lifted to the air to smell the breeze. Her nostrils flared intensely, the rapidash skull over her head not hindering her ability to track even a little.

A few sniffs later, the pair was off. The canine lead the way with her exceptionally keen hunter prowess, the human following close behind her. Maverick already knew he was about to spend a fortune in the safari zone this time around, but he could only hope it would be worth it in the end.

It didn’t take long for Azula to find her first trail. Her hunting and tracking skill were beyond on point, finding even the most covered scent to finding the source without issue. And when she found the source of the first scent, a low growl rattled in her chest. Ruby eyes fell upon the grass type, ebony lips rose slightly when it spotted them. The Treecko didn’t seemed to care though, simply turning its back to them and moving on. This upset the canine, emitting a more serious ferocious snarl. “Easy girl,” Maverick mumbled, scoffing at the grass type as it didn’t seemed fazed by her intimidating attempt, “Just leave it. Let’s keep looking.” Azula snorted, but did as her master told her. Nostrils flared, searching for a new scent to follow.

Nostrils flared intensely, hovering inches off the ground taking in the newly discovered scent. Her chest expanded and retracted swiftly, being sure she was following the right trail. Behind the massive six foot hell hound was a man, casually following it lost in his own thoughts. Even when the tall grass before them suddenly shifted, it didn’t faze the human. The canine on the other hand, emitted a snarl.

Leaping out of it’s hiding spot, the fire type looked up the canine with wide fearful eyes. Startled by the large predator with a skull on its head. Azula lifted her lips, revealing her pearly whites at the wild pokemon. The torchic let out a chip, turning and darting back into its hiding spot. “Leave it,” the man mumbled when Azula tempted to chase, “Im not interested in it.” Canine let out a grumble, turning and lifting her nose into the air. Time to find another scent.

The next pokemon his beloved canine found was one that he really liked for some reason. It wasn’t his usual typing and didn’t have any canine features. Yet as his canine snarled at the mudkip that rested along the shore, Maverick could help but want it. “Step back Azula,” the man mumbled, plucking a ball from his pocket, “I kinda want this one.” He did have three extra safari balls he needed to waste anyway. With the flick of the wrist, Maverick attempted to catch the mudkip. Hopefully, it was strong.

It was only after the successful capture of the water starter did the pair move on. Azula was putting her hunting skills to work, finding scents that are recent enough for her to follow. In fact, it was a good thirty minutes before she finally had a good scent to track. It took them across the safari zone pretty far, finally finding the creature.

Azula snarled at the dragon type, eyeing closing as it ducked its head. Scraping its feet across the earth, to charged forward towards the canine. But with strict restrictions placed upon her in this place, the canine leaped over the creature to dodge its advance. The bacon snorted angrily, head ducked down again ready to charge.

Maverick plucked a ball from his pocket, tossing it at the creature before it could start to run. The ball smacked its hard skull, opening up and pulling the creature in. Once fully in, the camouflaged sphere fell to the earth with a soft thud. It wiggled drastically, yet held the wild pokemon within tight.

It wasn’t long before they ran into another pokemon, thanks to Azula’s heighten senses. A low growl rattled in her chest, ruby eyes on the fox pokemon. Its ears stood on end, body froze at it spotted the massive hell hound. “Don’t let it get away,” Maverick mumbled to her, knowing this species is known to flee. In that very moment, the wild eevee turned to flee. “Go Azula.”

The houndoom thrusted herself forward, easier catching up with the little fox and forcing it to flee in a direction. The eevee hissed angrily, turning to run away from the scary houndoom. Unexpectedly, a human suddenly blocked its path and it froze out of fear. Tossing a ball, it hit the mark and sucked the creature in. One more to go.

It didn’t take long to run into another wild pokemon. In fact, the creature was the one that ran into him. Azula emitted a snarl, baring her teeth as the charging Taurus darted in their direction. The creature let hot steam rolled from hits nostrils, thrusting its hooves harder into the ground.

Cursing under his breath, the man was quick to toss a sphere at the creature. By some stroke of luck, the burnt scarred man hit his mark. The wild pokemon reared angrily, only to get sucked into the ball. Once in, it fell to the earth with a thud and wiggled harshly. The man let out a breath of relief, strolling up to the ball and waited for it to be done. “Let’s head home after this,” the man told the canine as she stood by his side.
