Nico attempted to keep Lilypad mostly at bay from eating the entire handful of treats out of his palms. Instead letting her snatch a good mouthful that she quickly ran away with, chewing quite happily. Then his eyes went huge as he watched the Absol admire his gift... Proceeding to climb into the box to eat his snack. "I... well... yeah- okay." He let out a laugh, delighted by the nonsensical move. Pokemon could honestly be so adorable sometimes...

Then Nico was hit with the Kazzy eyes of begging- and they worked. Instantly. Mostly because he was quite grateful to not have the rock-type scratching him up... "Good boy!" He'd lift a yogurt treat, making sure Kazzy saw it before lightly tossing it in the air right at the pup's face, giving the pup a chance to test out his dexterity and patience to catch the treat mid-air.

Nico giggled delightedly as the rockruff successfully caught the treat and proceeded to ‘kill it’. Ace looked content as well, and the whole thing seemed to be a success so far. Except- ”Oh! I forgot Tekka. Hope she doesn’t run off.” He mumbled, bringing out the Pokeball marked with various black stickers. After clicking the button with his thumb, the ball popped open and Tekka formed in a bright light next to her trainer.

”Breei~.” She grinned at her trainer, rubbing her face against his as she gradually stepped into his space. ”Hehehehe, hello Tekka~ You want your treat too?” He questioned, hearing the fox coo in confirmation. Once he offered a biscuit, all of her affection vanished as she snatched the treat, tail and ears held high as she moved a safe distance to consume her treat, leaving Ace largely unnoticed.

Nico couldn't help but simply giggle at the Umbreon's swift exit, tickled by her mood swing. "Awh, she's gotten a lot more friendly recently though!" He'd point out, "I remember when we first met; she wouldn't even let me come close. I think she Snarled a few times back when she liked using that move." The Pokemon might not have been the warmest, but the moments of domestication and friendliness were becoming more evident by the week!

Then, Nico's eyes went wide as they witnessed something unexpected. Upon noticing the other dark-type's approach, Tekka turned to face him, staring mutely, treat still in her mouth. Her large eyes blinked owlishly at the treat once it was left for her. Considering it briefly, her head leaning cautiously toward it and sniffing once.

Rearing back suddenly, the fox stiffened and then turned away, trotting in a steady, brisk pace into the forest.

"Ohh my gaaaasshh he has a cruussshhh~" Nico whispered fiercely.

The sight was unexpected for Nico, but absolutely delightful. Though Matt had a point... Poor Ace was in for a rough start. Tekka had always been slow to warm up to new Pokemon or people- especially when they were very interested in meeting her. "Poor guy- be nice to him, Tekka!" He pleaded, although he was unable to wipe the amused grin off his face.

Referring to their earlier days made Nico think back fondly, leaning back against Matthew so they could each get comfortable. "If this is anything like back then, these two will be love birds in no time."

Tekka had continued her avoidance. Noticing his playful approach and giving him an odd look. She showed no interest in play time, turning to continue her jog into the forest until reaching a suitably large log. Leaping atop the old wood, she settled down and began happily chewing the treat carried within her maw, only side-eying Ace in between chomps.
