how typical of his trainer to steal him away from the safari zone, his home, only to drop him off at some random daycare. well, maybe not random as it definitely looks expensive, but still! how dare uriah![break][break]

huffing, torchic skips around the area full of energy with no way to release it. his SPEED BOOST even makes him quicker than others. it doesn't take him long until he's running into someone.[break][break]

It was not often that Ivysaur was sent to the daycare. With a strict training regime, some might even say it was odd for it to be sent here. But, sometimes you just needed to relax a little. Lay around on the lovely warm ground right in the middle of the play area, while it enjoyed the sun as it baked down upon your growing back-plant.

Or at least it would if something didn’t bump into it. It rose reluctantly from its comfortable position and turned to look at the rascal who thought it wise to disturb him as he was trying to have a most pleasant nap.

But then its eyes fell upon the little chick, surely too young and filled with energy to be contained within this place under such a lovely Sun. “Would you kindly look where you are running, I was trying to take a nap here.” While clearly not pleased with the disturbance, it spoke with no outright aggression in its voice.

“No offense taken,” Ivysaur said accepting the apology as the Torchic took responsibility for what it had done.

The Ivysaur looked towards the sky. “How could I not when given the opportunity? Training day in and day out with no proper rest is bad for you.” The grass-type spoke wisely, its voice sounding almost older than it appeared.

“So if I may ask. Why are you running around when you could be napping?” The Ivysaur returned the question, perhaps hoping to stir some thoughtful debating with the Torchic.

Ivysaur looked thoughtfully towards the Torchic. It didn’t seem quite at the point where debating was a hook for its attention.

Ivysaur did not mind. Instead, it merely nodded when shedding energy was brought up, then returned to its thoughtful folds when the Torchic asked for tips.

“Sleeping is a lot like exercising.” The Ivysaur began “The more you do it, the better you become at it.” Wise words that had been passed down from Parent to child throughout his long line of Grass-Type Pokémon. He remembered fondly how his father often slept twelve hours a day, a noteworthy feat with an ungodly amount of rambunctious saplings running around.

“But a full belly and sated thirst help a lot as well.” He nodded a bit, perhaps more to himself than the bird.

“Thank you for your kind words.” Ivysaur nodded appreciatively. It didn’t consider itself wise, but perhaps it was compared to the Torchic. He would have to mull this over when next he could sleep.

But now was not the time for mulling. The Torchic spoke, and he smiled. “I look forward to hearing about it,” Ivysaur replied.

But then, a solemn question arose. “I... I do not know. My trainer is a busy one, her schedule always changes, and she likes to oversee our training personally.” Ivysaur stated. “But I can ask her, and perhaps she will allow me to be here next week.” He tried to smile reassuringly at the Torchic. He felt a bit bad that he most likely had to disappoint the little bird.

The Ivysaur nodded. “I will ask her, don’t you worry.” He reassured the Torchic with yet another smile.

As if on cue their time together was cut short. The trainer whose Torchic this was had been come to fetch the little birdie. It said its farewell, even granting it a nickname of sorts.

Using one of its Vine Whips, the Ivysaur waved farewell! “See you next week!” The Ivysaur was determined now. A promise had been made.

And so, when Elinor came to fetch the Grass/Poison-type it almost immediately asked if it could come here next week. And though Elinor was far from fluid in the Ivysaur language, she understood its message loud and clear enough to acknowledge its request and accept it.
