MARCH UPDATE

Dione sat under a tree, simply, watching the nature around her. It was beautiful; seeing how pokemon and nature interacted with each other. A piece to the chaos of this world. Almost surreal, if they were honest. Seeing something scamper off into the grass, or a young trainer off chasing bugs with a net- that part almost annoyed her, but they were kids. What did they know?

Feeling her caterpie crawling over her head, she glanced up to see the bug had gotten a leaf and was happily munching on it. Reaching up to gently scratch it's head, she flickered her eyes over to her other bug type, the butterfly was fluttering about and pollenating some plants. Smiling, she gave a happy sigh of relief. So peaceful.

Grabbing her notebook, she started to jot down notes. Hearing her Venonat chittering off to the side as it rolled in some flowers, her Larvesta tucked into her shirt, so small and seeking the warmth her body provided. It really felt like tings could be fine, for now, in this moment. But who knows what lies around the corners in Hoenn?

nothing but trouble, usually, but in this case, it's just rocket underboss theo beckett who, when not at work, is relatively harmless. all he really does is fish and go for nice walks. today, he finds himself doing the latter.[break][break]

The peace and sounds of the forest really was relaxing, well, that was until Dione glanced up and came eye-to-eye with a Lurantis! Jerking her head back, she stared at the pokemon for several seconds. It wasn't showing any signs of wanting to harm her, so maybe it was simply curious. Honestly, it was a bug that she had never had the chance to study..

Seeing the pokemon lean forward, she was looking curious at the picnic basket Dione had also brought along. Looking at it, ah, she realized now. It must be the honey she had in there, the bug was after. Reaching inside, she offered the pokemon some. Dainty hands took the honey, then chirped happily, going to dig into the delicious treat. Dione smiled.

Maybe she just got her a new friend to get home.

Though out of the corner of her eye, she noticed some Dustox off in the distance- dang! She would have loved those, but oh well, the chance to study the mantis was a better choice.

the same dustox is quickly knocked out of the air by an accurately spun STICKY WEB. though its wings vibrate in an attempt to free itself, it's of no use. more so when a SLASH follows from the galvantula.[break][break]

theo steps into the scene moments after to drop a pokeball on the dustox.[break][break]

it's only then that he notices someone else not too far away from him. his hand raises in a small wave.

Dione watched the man capture the Dustox. Shame, it would have been a good addition- until her interest was caught at a Ledian. Eyes went wide as she stood up, her new mantis friend at her side tilting it's head as it watched the trainer move with such delicate ease. Dione was on the ladybug before it even realized what happened as she tossed a ball towards it.

With that done, she turned to return the wave to Theo. "Hello." She called over, as all her bugs started to start to collect around her. Dione blinked a few times at them, waving her hands. "Don't be scared," came the soft coo to them. She had no reason to think anything bad of Theo.

"Enjoying the forest?"

"I am, I come to watch the wildlife." Then all her bugs were swarmed around her. "And, a love for bug types." The meek shrug. "Run a rehab for them... so I enjoy just studying them." Why did she tell her life story, well, not all of it anyway.

"Dione, by the way." A small introduction at least. "Oh, careful near the mushrooms.... they're not all mushrooms."

The way he caught pokemon was far interesting to her. Like a collector. She logged that way. "vanderulf," came her answer, eyes scanning over to watch the cricket pokemon singing his tune to all that would hear. It could be unpleasant to people sometimes.

Though she did make a face at the dewpider she saw crawling up a tree. Moreso, she was watching to make sure it wasn't about to come after any of her smaller mons that clung to her, the oh so protective mother.

"I'll take in anything, given I can treat it."
