And, here he was again. Another day, another hunt. And like always, the trainer had his beloved hell hound by his side. Maverick was lucky that he had some money in savings to due this. Because honestly, it was getting expensive. Also, very boring. Hopefully, this will be his last time in here for a while.

Either way, the pair ventured into the safari zone one last time. The man only had one thing he wanted and hoped it would be sooner rather than later.

The search continued, spotting the wild treecko and moving forward. He wasn’t interested in it and he didn’t have time for it. A stiff nod in a different direction made the canine shift her focus, nostril flared to find a new scent to follow.

It was all of a sudden when the wild pokemon appeared, startling Maverick though he did his best not to show it. He could feel his heart pounding against his rib cage, hand automatically lifted to rest on his chest where his heart was. Azula snapped her muzzle at it, ready to clamp down on the poor thing. He glared at the torchic with an annoyed look, reaching into his pocket to pluck out a ball.

With a flick of the wrist, the burnt scarred man tossed the ball at the wild pokemon. It hit, drawing the creature in and locking in place. That’s what it gets for startling him. The ball fell to the ground with a thud, wiggling in place as it attempted to escaped. It would only be after the capture would the man pick it off the ground, give it one last angry silent glare before shoving it into his pocket and moving on.

Once the his previous capture was successful, the pair moved onto the next. However, the next pokemon they stumbled on was yet another mudkip. And the worst part was, it wasn’t even shiny. Maverick let out a heavy sigh, rolling his eyes as the mudkip growled at Azula. “Come on girl,” the man mumbled to his beloved canine, “its getting late. Let’s keep moving.”

It appears that bagon, the head butting dragon, was their next capture. And luck always, the dragon was eager to start a fight. It scrapped its foot along the earth, head lowered ready to charge. Azula lowered her head, lips rose to bare her teeth at the wild pokemon as a snarl ripped through her throat. But before either could react to the other, Maverick tossed the empty sphere at the bagon.

The ball hit, the wild pokemon unaffected by the hit but still getting sucked into it. Soon, the ball fell to the earth with a thud and wiggled feverishly. The hell hound let out a snort. Maverick, too, let out a grunt of his own. Either way, it was another ball down with two more to go.

The next pokemon that the pair came across was the one he was looking for. And best of all, it was snoozing underneath a shade tree. Easy pesky. The man turned to his beloved canine, a single finger rose to indicate for her to be quiet as they approached the wild eevee. Silently, the pair inched their way closer until Maverick felt like they were close enough to hit the mark.

Drawing his arm back, the man launched the sphere at the napping fox. The ball hit, starting the creature as it sucked it in. Once in, the ball sealed shut and began the wiggle. Although he did feel sort of bad for the wild pokemon, it was its open fault. At least, thats what he told himself as he waited for the confirm capture. One ball left.

It was getting late. The man had lost track of how long he has been in the safari zone. There was only one ball left. And honestly, he didn’t really care what he caught with it. Maverick just wanted to go home. His mouth opened wide, a yawn taking over. He felt drowsy now, crimson colored orbs shifted tiredly when he heard the rumbles of his canine. To not surprise, a wild Taurus was ready to charge. He huffed, tossing his last ball without much care in the world. He just wanted to go to sleep.
