espurr's LEER challenges the grovyle who easily accepts. the grass-type bounds forward to SLAM into the espurr, knocking it right into a pokeball.[break][break]

while jayden did find unknown to be an interesting species, it seemed better suited to people like kepler brueshaber, or any of their other scientists.

[break][break] a red loop appears out of nowhere as a wild phantump attempts a DESTINY BOND. however, vahagn is quick to notice and dodges the attack. he teleports with a PHANTOM FORCE before his tail slaps the pokemon to the ground, leaving a perfect opening for a capture.

as they resume their run, a quick flash of blue catches his attention. he expects a water-type only to find himself looking at a polteageist. a relatively common pokemon in galar.[break][break]

it WITHDRAWS, but grovye is quick to spit out a DRAGON BREATH that licks at its glass body. a pokeball is thrown after, quick and precise.[break][break]

"how often do you run?"

sneakers running against red rock, jayden is careful to keep control of his breathing as they climb up the mountain. he has made this route enough times to know how to pace himself properly, so much that he can pay attention to his surroundings at the same time.

[break][break] at the corner of his eye, he spots a wild hypno closing on his pray. a brief shiver runs through him — it would be an odd thing to say for a ghost-user like himself, who was often more intrigued by the supernatural than he was afraid of it, but there was something uncanny about the way that certain pokemon like hypno carried themselves that was... well, unsettling.

[break][break] "at least once a day, if my schedule allows. usually in the morning, as that is when i can think best. occasionally i come up here with mint frost." a pause. "do you usually come alone?"

it is not surprising that he finds himself in agreeance with the underboss. after all, he and THEO BECKETT had been trained under the same mantle.

[break][break] "i like mt. pyre," he says, carrying the conversation as he watches his dragapult fell the wild honedge with a sucker punch and then grasp the metal between it's teeth. "but are there any other trails you like to run?"

DRAGON DARTS sail through the air towards the polteageist. when the porcelein shatters, ghost-like goop trailing through the dirt, a pokeball picks up it's remains.

[break][break] "i think admin gallagher might know more about petalburg," he ponders. "i'll have to ask him."

[break][break] as he is careful to keep his space with the other, he blinks with surprise.

[break][break] "you like mossdeep?"

[break][break] he thinks of the discussion at TOP3 that took place not too long ago. it seemed like plenty of rockets had found the sea-side city their home.

[break][break] though whether it was a good or bad thing remained to be discerned.

[break][break] "i like that trail. i used to take it when i traveled there more."
