A few of the students paused to speak to her at the end of class as they exited the room. They didn't stay to chat for long, just a few questions here and there in addition to the occasional brave soul that would try to shoot their shot. As soon as the majority of them had left Rosalie sighed and rubbed her neck. It had been a long day and it was only the afternoon. She wasn't sure if the were going to require her to stay and teach another class either. [break][break]
"You did well," Caleb's voice rang out, lingering in the classroom as it emptied.
"You're really good at this PR stuff. I never realized that about you...before." Rosalie glanced up a confident smirk playing at the corner of her lips. Rosalie had been playing this game for many many years now. Though back then it was true she interacted with his brother more than him, so she couldn't really fault him for not knowing just how good she was in this field. [break][break]
She offered a humble shrug,
"It comes with practice, I suppose." she said with a bright grin,
"Thank you for the compliment though." her voice was soft as there was no need to raise her voice now that it was just the two of them in the room.
"You got out," Caleb said as he stepped closer to her now, closing the distance between them. [break][break]
"I'm glad," seemed like he meant it too. Rosalie studied him for a moment, really trying to figure him out. If she was honest, back in Kanto, she hadn't paid him any mind. She was more focused on her own survival and securing comfort in that hell-scape at any cost. It kept her constantly busy. [break][break]
"It's good to know I wasn't the only one who managed to escape that nightmare." A blinking red light in the corner of the room caught Rosie's attention and her eyes narrowed.
"Shh," she whispered as she gently brought one of her fingers to his lips.
"Not here." she said as she gingerly draped one of her arms around his shoulder.
"Let's get lunch first, hm?" she asked, this time a bit louder for the recording device in the back to pick up.[break][break]
She imagined they installed such things so that the could review the lessons taught by their instructors for training purposes later. But Rosalie didn't want to risk any unnecessary information leaks at the moment. She leaned closed to Caleb one last time and whispered,
"Remember what I taught you," a reminder of her class and the lessons she'd just gone over. One of them being, that there were eyes and ears everywhere if you took the time to notice. [break][break]
She grabbed hold of Caleb's hand and then grabbed her things in her other free hand before leading him out of the classroom. Her mannerisms would come across a delicate. Easily readable as a woman getting together with her partner after class. Once Rosie deemed they were safe she released her hold on Caleb and instead lead him towards the back of the building, where the faculty parking lot was. [break][break]
She'd been quite the entire time, trying to figure out a way to go about this. Based on Caleb's reactions she could assume he wasn't in contact with his brother, otherwise he would've known Rosie was here. Then again he could also be an extremely good actor, but she didn't believe that was the case. His actions seemed truly genuine. If that was the case she needed to play the role of someone he could trust. [break][break]
"It's good to see you're okay Caleb, I know it couldn't have been easy for you." Rosalie finally said, breaking the silence as she slowed her pace now that they had reached the parking lot.
"I uh..." Rosalie lowered her gaze and shifted her weight from foot to foot. She seemed nervous,
"I didn't expect to run into anyone from Kanto here." she admitted sheepishly. [break][break]
"You nearly scared me half to death when you walked in my classroom this morning." she said with a soft chuckle.
"But...if I had to run into anyone...I'm glad it was you." Rosie said, finally meeting his gaze. A faint blush colored her cheeks before she shook her head, nervously twirling a piece of her pink locks around her finger.
"That's corny...I'm sorry." She grimaced before laughing.
