Fae crouches down by the flower patch, her forearms resting on her knees. Even during the day, the glow of the crystablooms is obvious and as alluring as can be. A delicate hand reaches down for one of them, marvelling on how soft the petals are compared to the sharp edges of the flower’s hearts.

She’s not the only one allured by the flowers, though…

”Rat!” Her Chatot warns her, fluttering its wings while still perched on her shoulder.

”Rat?” Fae looks around, spotting a shy Cincinno among the bushes. She rolls her eyes once she’s certain that the wild pokémon won’t be attacking them.

”Vivace, that’s no rat… or wait… Is it?”

More pokémon are drawn to the light of the crystabloom, although most of them, wild as they are, are too wary of her presence to get much closer. Fae realises as much. They all watch from a distance. All except one…

The sight of the Poochyena brings back memories, although it looks nothing like what Cicero had as a pup. Its fur is matted, dirty, and clearly too long for the pokémon’s own good. It snarls, low and hesitant.

The Chatot snarls right back.

”Shhhh, Vivace. I swear I’ll smack you with my script.” Her eyes roll, yet she soon looks at the Poochyena once more. ”Hey. Want a treat?”
