For a moment Cathrine began to worry. Even if it didn’t show on her face. The way that Aki was spacing out disassociating until pulled back in by Techu.

Her fears were alleviated when tears welled and words were spoken. She hadn’t noticed the breath that she held. But suddenly it found release.

Cathrine was quick to come and help Aki. Perhaps a bit too quick? Didn’t matter. She was there, gentle fingers working the golden chain, locking it around Aki’s neck. And while doing so taking comfort in the moments her fingers felt the sensation of Aki’s skin. “There,” Cathrine said gently letting Aki know that she was done.

When those fingers brushed against her skin, goosebumps raised and spread down her back. Giving a soft shudder came, looking back up to Cat with a smile. Blush tinted her cheeks, but she adjusted herself to face Cat fully now.

The necklace snuggled to her bosom, Aki looking down up admire it. Holding it up so she could look at the flowers. "It's so pretty..." Looking up at her, she smuiled.

"Do you know the language of flowers?"

Cathrine looked with a pleased smile at Aki. Her gift had been well received and worth every PokéDollar spent.

Eyes didn't move from Aki as the woman studied the necklace further before asking a rather observant question.

"A tiny bit. Surface level stuff, really." Cathrine admitted.

"Oh please don't tell me those three flowers combined have some secret meaning that is completely opposite of what they usually represent." Cathrine said half in jest.

Aki giggled at her, getting a little devilish grin on her face. "Oh yes, you're telling me you want to pin me to a tree." She teased, laughing. "No, they're perfect." Smiling as she adjusted it on her neck, far to happy with the gift. Little did Cat know, Aki was never going to take it off now.

Soon though, a ball... of something came rolling down. Then splashed into the water! Aki's eyes went wide when she realized it was a Seedot! "Oh no!" Jumping to her feet, she rushed towards the water, scooping the poor soaking acorn out of the water. "Oh you poor thing." She cooed, rocking it in her arms.

Soothing it, she smiled and tickled it's cheek. "You're a cutie." The seedot chirped, snuggling into Aki. Going back to the blanket, Aki held the seedot up. "Think there's a new friend!"

Cathrine was so close to taking the bait that Aki threw. But she reeled herself in. Letting naught but a chuckle at Aki’s joke escape. But she was this close, THIS close to saying something that would definitely have made Aki blush and most certainly been inappropriate in the presence of this many Pokémon.

Anyhow. A Seedot came rolling down. Aki jumped to her feet to save it. Cathrine was about to follow. But she didn’t even make it up before Aki had successfully done so.

A mildly impressed smile had found its way to her as she watched Aki befriend the little Seedot. But she didn't get to voice that.

Since Aki wouldn’t be the only one who got a new friend. A bird landed by Cathrine’s side.

It looked at her with its big soulless eyes.

She looked at it.

It looked at her...

She looked at it…

And then it made some Cramorant noises and decided to make itself comfortable. She turned her gaze towards Aki, eyes clearly asking a question she didn’t voice… What just happened there…

Aki went to glance up, then her face scrunched up in disgust towards the creature. "Oh I can't stand those." She said under her breath, hugging the Seedot closer to her chest. Absolutely refusing to let that monster near her new baby!

Flaring out her nostrils, she looked between the two as it settled there. Really? Pouting, she sighed. "Seems like you befriended a demon." She said, her voice a bit monotoned. "You could try to catch it?"

Aki's disgust was clear. For a moment Cathrine considered shoo'ing the creature away. But then it looked at her and nuzzled its beak against her gently. And with that she decided whatever hatred Aki held for this specie might be unreasonable with this individual.

Cathrine placed a hand on its head, resulting in some happy Cramorant noises. Before she took an empty Pokéball and nudged it against the bird sucking it into the sphere.

Cathrine turned her attention to Aki as she asked. "You don't seem particularly fond of that one. How come?" Yes, she did not have a lot of experience with them.

That was one hell of a day. "Both me and him were running around frantically trying to get his Pikachu calmed down and shoo off the demon bird." Giggling, it was funny now that she thought about it. "But otherwise, I don't know much on them."

Once Cat caught it, she relaxed now. "Now, how about that food?"

At first she looked in surprise. But then a small chuckle escaped her. “Oh, I know it’s bad and I shouldn’t be laughing. But that does sound like a fun sight.” Cathrine admitted. “Though I am sure it wasn’t fun in the situation.” She agreed.

“But don’t worry. I will make sure it doesn’t get the chance to even try that.” Cathrine promised.

And then Aki moved the focus onto the food that they had brought along. Well, since they had both brought something they would definitely not go hungry.

“Ah yes, the food!” Cathrine said as if it was something she had long forgotten. She quickly fetched the first bit of content in the basket she had brought. It was an assortment of sandwiches. She offered Aki first pick.

And while she did so a tiny form suddenly appeared. As if having snuck upon the group with no effort at all. With a quick movement did it seem to calculate the length of her arm with a string, before continuing to take measurements.

Cathrine looked in surprise. “Excuse me?”

The Swadloon gestured for her to stay still. It was busy.

Aki looked up, seeing the Swadloon. Her eyes lit up, hurriedly going to her bag. Fetching out a pokeball she let out her Sewaddle. "Lookie!" She giggled, the little bug slinking it's way over to it's bigger counterpart, eyes wide and looking on in awe at the work it was doing there.

"Looks like it's measuring you, that's cute." Giggling, she pulled out the food she brought. It was a lot of baked goods- poffins for the pokemon, biscuits, was that a rice ball- yeah there was some rice balls and some home made muffins!

"I broughtr a lot of stuff.." Looking at the sandwiches, she grabbed one without any meat. "Thank you!"

For a moment Cathrine sat still. For a moment she allowed the Swadloon to work. Aki even went as far as to summon one of her own, though in a prior evolved form.

But then Cathrine lost patience and began to move about finding the food. But that didn’t stop the Swadloon. It continued to measure, create a thread, then measure some more, and so on. It even called forth an assistant of sorts in the form of a Metapod that would help it make string, since it did not trust Aki’s little Pokémon.

While Cathrine had positively brought too much food. Aki had one-upped her by a wide margin.

We certainly aren’t going hungry.

The thought glued amused her as the bug group worked. Swadloon gave orders as only a fashionista could.

“Oh, is that muffins!” Cathrine eyed the homemade goods as Aki acquired one of the sandwiches that Cathrine had brought.
